| T-Spot is a Toronto venue that specializes in serving fabulous tea and yummy lunches. This recipe, created by T-Spot co-owner Margaret McKeown, makes a great gift for skiers and couch potatoes alike. |

Ingredients

|
1/4 cup (50 mL) loose black tea leaves such as Ceylon Lover's Leap |
|
|
|
1/2 cup (125 mL) dried mint |
|
|
|
1/2 cup (125 mL) hot chocolate mix |
|
|
|
1/2 cup (125 mL) toasted, sliced or slivered almonds |

Preparation
|
|
Layer ingredients in order, into a 2-cup (500 mL) glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Seal tightly and affix a gift tag with the following instructions: To brew: remove almonds from jar and reserve.
Cover jar and shake until ingredients are well combined. Place 1 tsp (15 mL) of tea mixture for each cup of boiling water into a teapot.
Pour in boiled water and stir. Cover, and steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Pour tea; top with whipped cream and toasted almonds.
Makes approximately 30 servings.
