Ingredients
|

|
8 cups (2 L) apple cider or juice |
|
|
|
1/2 tsp (2 mL) whole cloves |
|
|
|
3 cinnamon sticks, 4-inch (10 cm) each |
|
|
|
3 star anise (optional) |
|
|
|
1 long strip orange peel |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Preparation
|
|
Combine cider, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise (if using) and orange peel in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Keep warm over very low heat.
Makes 8 servings.
