Kiwi Banana Smoothie

Here's a quick, refreshing breakfast or light dessert. If you have vanilla-flavoured yogurt, omit the vanilla. The amount of honey you use depends on the tartness of the yogurt.

Ingredients

• 

2 ripe kiwi, peeled and cut into chunks

• 

1 ripe banana, peeled and cut into chunks

• 

1 cup (250 mL) plain yogurt

• 

few drops of vanilla

• 

honey to taste

Preparation

Whirl kiwi, banana, yogurt, vanilla and honey in blender until smooth. Enjoy immediately.

Makes 2 cups (500 mL) or 2 servings.

Nutritional information

Per serving (using low-fat yogurt): 158 cal, 7 g protein, 2 g fat, 29 g carb, 3.5 g fibre, 84 mg sodium. Excellent source vit C. Good source calcium. H
