You've slathered on sunscreen and are ready to head outdoors to take advantage of the warm weather. But have you done everything you should to protect yourself from the sun's harmful rays?
According to Environment Canada, ultraviolet radiation levels are expected to increase by four per cent in 2006, due to the thinning of the ozone. That translates into rising levels of skin cancer, sunburns, cataracts and other sun-related ailments. Take this quiz to find out just how sun smart you are.
1. When should you reduce your sun exposure? a) Between noon and 2 p.m. or any time the UV index is 7 or more b) Between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. or any time the UV index is 5 or more c) Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. or any time the UV index is 3 or more
