Q: Can you share tips for successful dating?
A: I believe finding success in dating is really in your attitude about dating.
I have outlined what I call 7 attitudes of highly successful daters and the first one involves something you may or may not be aware of: your attitude.
Attitude #1 -- Belief in the possibility Henry Ford said "If you believe you can or you can't, you're right." Dating is no different. If you believe you will, or will not find a partner, you're right.
The highly successful dater has a positive attitude about his or her ability to find and have a wonderful, loving relationship. We attract what we focus on and what we think about expands into our experiences.
So if you catch yourself saying or thinking any of the following, STOP. Reverse the thought.
"There are no good men/women left."
"I really don't think this will ever work."
"I'm no good at dating."
"I seem to always attract losers."
"My ex was such a jerk."
"I'll probably spend the rest of my life alone."
"I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone."
