Prevent road rage

By Alison Finney

How can I destress my commute?

Whether you drive, walk, bike, bus or train to work, these simple ideas can help make your commute less stressful and maybe even fun!

• Prep yourself with healthy snacks, audio books and music.

• Sing along with the radio or a CD (recommended when travelling alone, unless you have a great voice).

• If time permits, take the scenic route to work.

• Every time you stop at a traffic light or stop sign, take long, slow, deep breaths.

• Work on your perfect posture. Keep the shoulders relaxed, back and down, keep the jaw loose, and lengthen your spine.

Try making the most of your commute so you can arrive at your destination feeling your best.
