Reduce eye strain in 3 simple steps

By Alison Finney

What can I do to alleviate eye strain?

Follow these 3 simple steps to reduce eye strain:

1. Minimize glare by adjusting window shades, blinds or drapes to block sunlight and reflections.

2. Blink more often to keep your eyes moisturized.

3. Refocus your eyes. Look away from your computer or your work every 15 minutes or so. If you don’t have a window to look out, hang a picture of a beautiful outdoor scene near your work area.

By giving your eyes short breaks, you can alleviate eye strain and help reduce headaches and neck tension. Give it a try next time you notice your eyes feeling a little tired.
