1. View from Abram Bartlett's tunnel The town of Brigus is known for being home to many generations of Bartletts. Captain Bob Bartlett was a world-renowned Arctic navigator who started his voyages in the late 19th century, but before him, his grandfather Abram Bartlett had a 25-metre tunnel hand-blasted through rock in order to create direct access to his wharf. While the wharf is no longer there, the tunnel is permanent and boats of all sizes still pass by the entrance.
