4. Get up close and personal in a kayak Even first-time kayakers can paddle along the water's edge in Cape Broyle with Stan Cook's well-respected team of guides. Although Cook doesn't take groups out on the water himself anymore, his tours are known all around St. John's. His employees at Wilderness Newfoundland Adventures take kayakers on different routes along Newfoundland's coast. Inexperienced kayakers can explore around a protected harbour where the waves aren't as high but the sights are just as spectacular.
