5. Whale watching near Bay Bulls
In the spring and summer, you can find the world's largest population of feeding humpback whales off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Before surfacing, they warn spectators of their whereabouts with a high, balloon-shaped blow, which can be seen (and sometimes heard) from tour boats or on the coast.
