If you’ve requested to pick up your order at our Urbandale showroom, you will be notified as soon as your order is ready. You’ll find our newly designed, 27-lane Pick Ups Department in the back of our facility. Our state-of-the-art technology and highly trained warehouse team will expedite your order’s completion and get you swiftly on your way home.

Your order will be pulled (and fabric protected, if applicable) and loaded into your vehicle upon your arrival. For your protection, we do require a picture ID and receipt with record of your purchase before releasing your order to you. We can assist in tying down merchandise, but we are not responsible for the merchandise or your vehicle once it has left the premises. Certain items that are picked up will require some customer assembly (such as attaching legs to a table).

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

We have several shipping options available: standard ground shipping, in-home delivery and driveway/curbside delivery, as well as delivery and professional installation for in-region pool table purchases.

Every item on our site has an estimated availability date, which is contingent on a number of factors. This date reflects when the item is expected to be available to be shipped. Any shipping time frames provided will reflect the earliest shipment dates after an item becomes available. Items in your order may ship from our facility or directly from the manufacturer.

Please note: We are not able to ship to California or outside the contiguous United States. In addition, we cannot ship to PO Boxes or Military APOs.

STANDARD GROUND SHIPPING

Smaller, lighter parcels may be transported via standard ground shipping. We use a variety of carriers, and your order may come from our facility or directly from the manufacturer.

Delivery charges are calculated based on the dimensional weight, shipping and other delivery-specific factors such as the number of stairs our personnel will need to climb in order to deliver your order.

Your order will be removed from the factory packaging, inspected and installed, if applicable. Items will then be protected and loaded into the delivery truck. *PLEASE NOTE: some items require customer assembly. These products are clearly labeled "assembly required" for your convenience. Our delivery personnel are not authorized to assemble these items for you.

Our delivery personnel will bring your furniture into your home and place pieces in the empty room that you have designated. Please note that our personnel are not allowed to remove their shoes, nor are they permitted to remove any existing furniture. Please ensure that your home is prepared and accessible.

MATTRESS DELIVERY

We offer standard mattress delivery as well as our exclusive Mattress Express Delivery program. Mattress Express Delivery is available to in-store customers who live in the Des Moines metro area and purchase in-stock mattresses before 5pm Sunday through Friday. Eligible addresses are determined by zip code.

Our delivery personnel will bring your mattress into your home and haul away your old bedding at no additional cost for both standard and Mattress Express deliveries.

The rates for both standard mattress delivery and our Mattress Express Delivery program are based on the mattress model and your zip code:

  • Clearance Center mattress purchases start at $79.99
  • Mattress Express or metro deliveries for Sleep Shop mattress purchases totaling less than $499 start at $79.99
  • Deliveries for Sleep Shop mattress purchases totaling more than $499 start at $29.99

DRIVEWAY DELIVERY - DES MOINES METRO AREA

With Homemakers driveway delivery, you can get your furniture home fast and conveniently at an affordable price. After purchasing the perfect new pieces for your home, our specialists will pack, transport and deliver your furniture to your driveway or garage. Driveway delivery is now available Monday through Friday for a flat $29.99 rate for customers in the Des Moines metro area. Eligibility is determined by zip code. Driveway deliveries will be available until the close of business for next-weekday delivery, space permitting.

We will call you the morning of the delivery with a two-hour delivery timeframe. We will also call you 15-30 minutes prior to delivery to let you know we are en route to your residence.

All products are delivered in factory packaging. If you have opted into one of our Guardsman Complete Protection Plans, your items will be treated and repackaged. We will wrap table tops from our Clearance Center; however, other Clearance Center items and floor items will remain unwrapped. Certain items that are delivered using driveway or curbside delivery services will require some customer assembly (such as attaching legs to a table).

Delivery personnel are only allowed to place your items in your driveway, garage or parking area (if accessible). If you live in a multi-family residential unit such as an apartment or condominium, delivery personnel will unload your order in the parking lot or garage. Personnel are not permitted to enter your home, including your patio or porch, and they will not haul away old bedding.

We require a signature upon completion of your delivery. Recipients should always inspect items immediately upon delivery. Any damages need to be noted in the paperwork before signing. We do not schedule exchanges or reselections on driveway deliveries: These must be scheduled using our in-home delivery service.

Please note: Orders must be paid in full or financed before you may schedule a delivery. We do not accept CODs under any circumstance.

CURBSIDE DELIVERY - OUTSIDE THE STATE OF IOWA

Curbside delivery is available to those who live outside of the state of Iowa. Delivery is available Monday through Friday. Curbside delivery rates are calculated based on the shipping address, product weight and other shipping factors.

We will coordinate delivery of your items with a third-party carrier within 2 business days of your items arriving in our warehouse. Once the items leave our facility, the carrier will contact you within 5-10 business days to schedule your actual delivery date and time. We will try to get as close to your requested date as possible. If available, you will receive an email with tracking information of your purchase.

POOL TABLE DELIVERY & PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION

In-region pool table packages will be delivered by Pool Table Service of Iowa and will arrive separately from other items in your order. A representative will contact you to set up a delivery window.

After your pool table package has been delivered, the agent will inspect the table to make sure it is level and in good condition. Once the agent has left your home, your table cannot be returned. However, the factory warranty will be valid at this time.

Your purchase includes a pool table, two ball racks, a set of balls, four cues, a bridge and a standard cue rack. The delivery agent will not install anything other than the pool table.

Delivery is included in the cost of the pool table package within a sixty-mile radius of our showroom. Additional charges apply outside of this zone.
