Ingredients

1 each lemon, lime, orange and apple or peach

1/4 cup (60 mL) granulated sugar

Pinch salt

4 oz (125 mL) Brandy

1 oz (30 mL) orange liqueur

1 bottle (750 mL) full-bodied red wine

Preparation

Quarter, seed and thinly slice the lemon, lime, orange and apple or peach; add to pitcher and stir in sugar and generous pinch of salt. Let stand for 1 hour. Add brandy, orange liqueur and red wine, slightly mashing the fruit. Refrigerate for 30 minutes; add ice before serving.
