1. Canadian Cancer Society
In addition to information about cancer treatments and statistics, the Canadian Cancer Society offers an excellent guide to living with cancer. CancerConnection, a free peer-to-peer telephone support program for people diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers, is available in most provinces. You can also search for support services in your area.
2. Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada
The CCAC is a nonprofit organization that focuses on education and advocacy, and provides support to people living with colorectal cancer and their families. Their comprehensive news section reports on related research and studies, and links to articles of interest.
3. Colon Cancer Alliance
This is a U.S.-based site that provides excellent resources such as a cancer glossary and links to support services. Sign up for the CCA's buddy program or participate in online chats for people living with cancer. You'll also find information on quality-of-life issues and clinical trials.
