Fall looks good. Everything is bedazzled in rich hues of orange, red and yellow, including the food. Speaking of which, fall tastes really good. Its bountiful harvest produces some of the year's best-tasting and most nutritious fruits and veggies.

Take apples, for example. Pretty in pink or red, these crisp fall fruits are packed with flavour and fibre, which helps keep your weight and cholesterol in check. Here are 10 more fresh foods to gobble down this season.
1. Go for greens: Broccoli

1. Go for greens: Broccoli

This tree-shaped veggie may help keep you healthy during cold and flu season. That's because it's packed with immune-boosting vitamin C. Here are a few other nutrients you get from one cup of broccoli:

-Vitamin A
-Folate (folic acid)
-Calcium
-Potassium

Chew on this: Lightly steam it or eat it raw. Over-cooking and boiling causes broccoli to lose some of its healthy properties. For a delicious side dish, try Broccoli Sautéed in Wine and Garlic.
