Help cut smog on your way to work

Keeping your car in the garage while you're on the go can help to keep you breathing easy.

To help reduce smog -- so you and the earth can breathe better -- keep your car parked at home when you go to work or run errands. According to Pollution Probe, a Canadian charitable environmental group, each car on the road emits about five tonnes of air pollutants and gasses every year.

Instead of driving, walk, bike or take public transit. Did you know that one filled subway train can take the place of 1,100 to 1,500 cars? If transit or biking aren't realistic options for you, then carpool to cut back on the amount of single occupancy cars on the road.
