April's to-do list: Tips 6-10
6. Earth Day: Get involved
Every year, we recognize Earth Day on April 22. This important day is a reminder that each and every Canadian is responsible for the well-being of our environment. As environmental issues abound, make it a priority to find out how you can do your part to take care of our precious world. For more information on how you can get involved, visit www.earthday.ca.
7. Exercise your brain
We're well aware of the importance of exercising our bodies, but don't forget: it's important to exercise your brain cells, too. Sharpen your mind with brainteasers and games like Sudoku and crossword puzzles. If you don't have time for games, challenge yourself with tasks like memorizing your grocery list.
8. Take a road trip
Spring is in the air and it's the perfect time to hit the road and enjoy nature's beauty. So pack up the car and plan a road trip -- whether you have just a day, a weekend or a week, Canada is full of wonderful destinations to visit.
9. Replace old towels
Are there ratty towels taking up space in your linen closet? What about old dish towels and dishcloths? Take inventory and decide what stays and what needs to go. Replace all old and worn-out bath towels, hand towels, dish towels, dishcloths and cleaning sponges with new ones.
10. Tell a joke a day
April is kicked off with April Fool's Day on April 1. Spread lighthearted humour throughout the month by entertaining friends and family with a good joke every day. After all, laughter is said to be the best medicine.
Whatever you do this month, let April bring you joy and happiness as you look forward to a beautiful spring and summer with fresh optimism.
