Join Halifax's outdoor theatre company for another terrific season featuring Much Ado About Nothing, Richard II and A Family Show To Rival the 2005 Robin Hood. Mainly using beautiful Point Pleasant Park as a stage (a few shows will be held elsewhere in Halifax and the Maritimes) the company features young actors, directors and producers in lively productions of classical theatre. Admission to most productions is by donation.

Musique Royale
July 1 - Aug. 31, 2006
Musique Royale is celebrating Nova Scotia's musical heritage for the 20th summer. Traditional music performances are planned in historically significant settings around the province. In Halifax, St. Paul's Anglican Church and the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts will play concert hall for music that makes up Nova Scotia's diverse roots -- passed down from the French and British, Dutch, German and black ancestors. Take in a concert during your vacation and get to know the province through music.
The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia
You don't want to miss this summer's star lineup of exhibits! A.Y. Jackson's Entrance to Halifax Harbour, one his most famous paintings chronicling WWI troops returning to Canada, is on loan from the Tate Gallery in England. Also on display is the work of Vancouver artist Takao Tanabi and "Lasting Impressions" -- celebrated works from the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Ontario.
