What's summer without a Teddy Bears' Picnic? Bring your stuffed friend (and a few real ones too!) and enjoy a summer barbeque on the grounds of the Governor General's residence at Rideau Hall. Several entertainment acts are booked for this summer's day festivities to raise money for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation. For more details visit www.cheofoundation.com or call 1-800-561-5638 and/or 613-824-6776. 13th Annual CKCU Ottawa Folk Festival
August 17 - 20
Ice-cream anyone? Choose your flavour and cruise over to Brittania Park to check out the likes of the Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir, Ron Sexmith, autorickshaw and Sho Mo and the Monkey Bunch. While you listen don't forget to browse around the craft artisan's booths where they'll be showcasing their hand-made wares.
