1. FREE In-store Pick Up
We’ll notify you when your order is ready in our 27-lane Pick Ups Department, conveniently located in the back of our facility. Our warehouse personnel will load your order into your vehicle and can assist with tying down merchandise. All products come in factory packaging and certain items require customer assembly.
2. Express Shipping (Statewide)
Homemakers offers Express Shipping in the state of Iowa. Express Shipping includes placement of all furniture in factory packaging inside your garage, in your driveway, or outside the first-floor entry of your home or apartment. Personnel are not permitted to enter your home, including your patio or porch, and they will not haul away old bedding. An authorized signature from an adult is required when the driver arrives at your home. Any products that require assembly will be the responsibility of the customer. *PLEASE NOTE: Express Shipping is not available for pool tables, accessories, or clearance accessory items.
3. In Home Delivery Service (Statewide)
Homemakers offers In-Home Delivery in the state of Iowa. Our team will remove your furniture from its packaging, fully inspect it and assemble it, if applicable.* It will then be padded for protection and loaded into our delivery truck. Our delivery personnel will bring your furniture into your home and place it in the empty room you have designated. *PLEASE NOTE: some items require customer assembly. These products are clearly labeled "assembly required" for your convenience. Our delivery personnel are not authorized to assemble these items for you.
4. Mattress Express Delivery (Des Moines Metro)
Our delivery personnel will bring your mattress into your home and haul away your old mattress and box spring* at no additional cost. We also offer Mattress Express Delivery for customers in the Des Moines area who purchase a mattress in-store; please see store for details. *We reserve the right to refuse mattress removal if the mattress is unsanitary.
5. Threshold Delivery (Outside of Iowa)
Threshold delivery is available to customers who live outside of the state of Iowa. Delivery is available Monday through Friday. We will coordinate delivery of your items with a third-party carrier within five business days of your items arriving in our warehouse. Delivery personnel will deliver your order to the “first dry space” outside your home or place of business. Items are delivered in factory packaging. Some items that arrive will require some customer setup or assembly. Setup and assembly services are not included, and we do not grant authorization for delivery personnel to provide setup and assembly for deliveries.
6. Standard Ground Shipping
Smaller, lighter parcels may be transported via standard ground shipping. We use a variety of carriers, and your order may come from our facility or directly from the manufacturer.
7. Pool Table Professional Delivery and Installation
Pool table packages are available for customers within the state of Iowa. Pool Table Service of Iowa will deliver the package, which will arrive separately from other items in your order. The delivery agent will not install anything other than the pool table.

We’re located just east of I-80-35 and west of Urbandale’s Walker Johnston Park on Douglas Ave. If you’re visiting from downtown Des Moines, take the Valley West Dr exit on I-235 W. Continue as it turns into 100th street and when you reach Douglas Ave., take a left (west). We will be one of the first buildings on the right side of the road, just past the railroad tracks.
