Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cushion saved my butt... I have to sit for long periods of time due to my current occupation. Even with a padded seat, my butt was going numb and I was getting really uncomfortable after just short periods of time. This cushion has saved me! I can do what I need to do for longer periods of time without getting uncomfortable. I will note that it smells pretty funky (very strongly like...chemicals?) - washed it multiple times as per instructions (so the odor is an on-going issue) when I first got it, and washed the cushion cover. It's been a few months and it's slowly dissipating, but I can definitely still smell it. Also, if you put it on any kind of leather or faux-leather, the cushion cover will leave black marks.

I purchased a seat cushion for a wheelchair 2 years ago and have been very happy with it so when I got a new (smaller) wheelchair I purchased this Double Seat Cushion. Upon using this Double Seat Cushion for a month I can say it is not as comfortable as the original Purple Seat Cushion, I am disappointed to say the least.

Would help because putting the gel pad in the cover takes a minute or two and invariably you wind up having to take it in and out to test which feels more comfortable. A simple graphic on the box would save customers the scratching the head time otherwise needed. Other than that it definitely helps with my bad back. Sitting long periods of time at a laptop on a chair with less than optimal cushioning really causes me pain and this cushion helps with that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for sore backs This cushion has been definite factor in the healing of my bruised tailbone. I take it everywhere with me. Sitting is very irritating and painful and this cushion helps mitigate a lot of that stress. Without it I think my recovery would take even longer.

My physical therapist friend recommended the purple cushion for my office chair. It's very comfortable and supportive and has allowed me to sit for longer periods of time as my back healed.

As I sat on it in my office chair, the top of the cushion seemed to shift forward. I had expected that it would be supportive, but it was not supportive at all. Disappointed! I received a refund quickly, which I do appreciate.

It's also a rather heavy pad and certainly not worth the asking price, maybe half the price if that.

If your office chair has lumbar support and armrests then be aware that this cushion will elevate your body 1-2 inches from your seat. For me the added elevation from sitting on this cushion doesn't allow me to comfortably rest my elbows on my armrest. And the deal breaker for me is now my lower back sits too high up and no longer aligns with the built-in lumbar support on my chair. I spent a lot of money on my ergonomic office chair and can't use any of the Purple cushions with it. To Purple, you need to make a thinner cushion if you're going to advertise this as a cushion for Office Chairs. The Double Cushion is too thick, the Simply Cushion is too hard, and the Portable cushion is good but way too small of a surface area for normal adults to sit on.
