Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great nightstand overall I was looking for a tall nightstand, and the Modus Oxford nightstand was one that fit the description, with ample storage and space at the top for placing items. The large size pairs well with a king size bed. I like the look of it with the dark espresso color paired with the metal pulls. It came fully assembled without damage. It is a sturdy piece. The only downside is that the color runs off when I tried to clean and wipe the outside of the back and sides of the drawers and the insides of the nightstand, it stained my wipe cloth completely black. It lacks a proper color sealant. It does not impact the inside of the drawers where items are placed however. The drawers do roll nicely and close smoothly, are made of a wood composite, and smell of wood on the inside.

We do not live in Indiana and we were slightly worried the furniture would come damaged after traveling such a long ways. No damage whatsoever AND the furniture comes assembled. This website offered us the best price! The material seems durable, the wood grain looks very realistic and it offers so much storage. The only thing I will advise is that if you have to take out the drawers out of the big dresser, mark them with a sticky note on where they go. We took all of them out to make our load lighter and not only is there a left and right orientation, the drawers are slightly different in size. We wish we would have done that. The top two small drawers on the big dresser are felted at the bottom for jewelry or what not. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Despite one main drawback I still like the dresser The Modus Oxford dresser looks very nice and is a sturdy piece. The dark espresso wood with the metal pulls was exactly what I was looking for and this set was at a very decent price. The outer finish is easy to maintain and clean and does not scratch easily. The inner finish however is not the best. On the backs of the drawers and dresser, the color runs off; no matter how many times I wipe, my wipecloth is stained completely black. That is the biggest drawback to this set. The insides and the back of the dresser are just not sealed properly in the areas that are not visible or used for clothes contact. However where the clothes are laid upon, the inside of the drawers don’t stain black and the drawers are made of wood composite and smell of wood. The drawers do roll very nicely and close smoothly. Please note there is a right side and a left side to the positioning of the drawers if you do take them out. The dresser does come fully assembled which was a nice surprise; I thought it required assembly. The outside of the box was slightly damaged in the delivery but there was corner beam support and styrofoam which thankfully protected the dresser.

It’s a nice size and Homemakers sold this piece for a fraction of the cost from Wayfair and City Furniture. I gave it 4 stars because it had minor nicks/scratches and imperfections here and there, but overall it is well made and very sturdy so I feel like it will last! Looks expensive too!

The only drawback is that if you try to wipe the back, it would stain your cloth black as it is not sealed with a finish. If you just focus on the front though, it's a great product. It screws on easily to the matching dresser.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lacking Craftsmanship Some of the 45 degree cuts were nailed off center and looked tacky. The dresser is heavy and the drawers seem to be well built and move very well. I was disappointed in the craftsmanship for how much the dresser cost. I would recommend not buying this dresser.
