Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's so good We got our power base and cannot believe how much of a difference it makes in our Purple Premier mattress. We love the way you can do three of your favorite presets. We use one of them for "changing the sheets" mode, which makes it a breeze. It has a NIGHTLIGHT and it's automatic! I think our favorite feature is the massage. Every night for thirty minutes on the timer feet and head massage. It literally lulls you to sleep. Hotels are awful without our mattress and base I would seriously buy it again and again. Oh, and you can vacuum all the way under it if it's on the highest notches. You won't be sorry, it's worth the investment! And yes, our cats love the massage as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfy but not Durable Absolutely love this for comfort- it's so nice to adjust the base to my liking. I'm so sad to say, though, that the base is not very durable. We have had our base for less than two years and have already had to get it entirely replaced- and our replacement has partially broken. It is worth noting that we aren't hard on our bed, and we've taken good care of it, especially knowing that the base is mechanical. We would not have paid the money if we knew that we would have to get the base replaced frequently- and have to put the replacements together ourselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't know I could use an adjustable base as a side sleeper I had no idea that I could be so comfortable as a side sleeper in an adjustable bed! My husband is mostly a back sleeper, and he loves it too. In the morning, before we get out of bed, I announce that I'm "gonna make it flat" and he always groans, haha. The zero-gravity option is amazing when I've spent too many hours on my feet, and the massage function is very nice too. We are also bigger fans of the under-bed lighting that I would have imagined, but it's lovely. My only complaint is that the motor is a little loud, so when he starts snoring and I want to elevate the head a bit, I worry I'll just wake him up. My only regret is that we didn't buy this sooner! The base, the mattress, and the sheets make for the MOST AMAZING night's sleep!

The Purple premium plus smart base has many adjustable settings to easily adjust our mattress to the perfect comfort level. And the light sensor is great when awaking in the middle of the night to use the bathroom so you don't have to turn the light on. The premium plus smart base itself lights up enough to light the way for you! Excellent feature! Also it's nice to raise the base at the head and foot when changing bed sheets! Makes it super easy with out having to bend down as much. The Purple premium plus smart base is an absolute must have!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea just don't like mattress sliding I love the idea that you can raise your feet and/or your head while reading and watching tv which is 100% better then trying to prop up with pillows. My only negative aspect is that when you have the head raised the mattress slides down. It comes with a bar attached at the foot of the frame to keep the mattress from sliding off. Also note if you sleep with the head elevated that you'll probably slide down in the bed. If we elevate the head while sleeping we just lift it a little to avoid sliding to the foot of the bed. Other then that love the idea and it's seems to be made with sturdy construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love our Purple Adjustable Bedframe We absolutely love our adjustable purple bedframe. I personally loved it, at the end of pregnancy, and also during breast-feeding. It was so nice to have back support with the click of a button. I also had surgery and it was so nice to be able to sit up, and also elevate my legs. My son also broke his leg, and it was so nice to put him in our bed and elevate his leg when he needed it. I highly suggest this purple adjustable bedframe, it is very supportive and it fits in most bed frames. This was a great purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken out of the box The unboxing and setup was easy until the weld point that hold the head area of the frame snapped, I've been waiting for several weeks for a replacement. Purple has been silent hopefully this review helps with my replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the base. I thought I bought the one with massage Why can't Purple exchange base when I made a mistake ordering. I thought I was ordering the base with massage. The one I received the one without massage. I think that if item was ordered by mistake Purple should exchange base just like the mattress. I am not happy I can't exchange it for the smart base with massage. I thought that was what I ordered. I need the massage for health reasons.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leg broken and mattress doesn't stay on the frame I had this frame for less than 6 months and one of the wooden legs broke. I called and they don't warranty legs. Also, the mattress doesn't stay on the frame when it goes to zero G. Awful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WASTE OF MONEY w/ PURPLE RESTORE MATRESSES The Purple Restore mattresses (tried a premier firm and exchanged it for a premier soft) do not conform to the smart base and folds you like a taco if you try zero-G mode, or manual foot elevation. The smart bases are an absolute waste of $ with these style mattresses and DO NOT WORK AS INTENTED OR ADVERTISED! You cannot return the smart base, so I highly recommend you do not waste your money on one. Given the fact that this is a design issue and not an issue of my not liking the base (I was actually really excited to utilize the features), I tried to talk to customer support about this a couple of times. At first I was told that the soft mattress would be better and to try it out when I set up the mattress exchange. When the new mattress came and also did not work, I called back as was told to leave the foot elevation engaged so that gravity would help bend the mattress to conform to fort portion of the base, which didn't work either. I then tried to email support and sent pictures and no one bothered to answer my email. While customer support is great about mattress exchanges and returns, they deny that anyone else is reporting this issue with the smart base, which I find hard to believe.

I figured, we spend so much time in our beds, so it should be the thing we spend a good amount of money on. And it was so worth it. Not only was it a godsend during my third trimester, but it has made postpartum recovery and general life so much nicer. My lower back pain is gone and it is so comfortable to lounge in my bed. And the vibrations are great for nights when you have having a hard time falling asleep! Overall I highly HIGHLY recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad buy The leg attachments are easy to over tighten and not great. The remotes are annoying if you have the split king. In order to move both sides of the bed you have to have a sync cable. That's really annoying when you have girlfriend stay few nights a week or you have to use both remotes. To raise each side. When raised and turning over you can hear some squeaks. Headboard attachment had to be bought separately. It does do what it says. Does have a good warranty and seems to hold up so far. Mattress do slide around easily on the canvas too. For the price point I think is a bit high for what other companies offer in that price range. I like keeping the same brands together and maybe it has/will improve in those trouble areas.

Purple has provided me with instructions for repair but I haven't been able to find anyone to fix it so haven't been able to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Smart base is wonderful. I was looking through the various products offered from Purple as I heard many opinions from friends and relatives. I decided on this specific base for myself due to the fact that there are times when I struggle to get up from the bed or need a function that allows for my lower extremities to be elevated for injury recovery. This cost is a basic investment in myself to more comfortability and ease of mind when it concerns my disability and needs. I would purchase this over and over if I had prior knowledge that it would be not only be so useful, but also have huge positive contributions toward my personal health. I recommend this for anyone looking for a base to assist you to be more independent regardless of your situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good, solid adjustable frame. I've had this frame for almost a year now, and I'm happy with it. It's great for when I feel less than optimal and want to work from my bed in a nearly upright position. It's also great for those with back pain, or for those who have issues falling asleep on their back. I am a side sleeper, but at a slight incline of the head and foot of the bed, I am able to fall asleep on my back without issue. The remote has a 1-button-press function that can flatten the frame if you wake up in the middle of the night and want to roll onto your side, which is nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so great Compared to many of the others on the market this frame does work as well. I missed my return window (to my own fault) or I would have returned it. The top part does not adjust as most others making for a vary uncomfortable position. Others bend in the hip region whereas this one actually does it in the back region. If you want a good adjustable base that puts you into more comfortable positions, look elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purple Smart Base is Great I was on the fence about an adjustable bed but when I needed to upgrade my original Purple mattress, I figured why not take the chance on the adjustable frame that can lay flat when I want or need it too but also elevate my head and feet. The Zero Gravity setting is wonderful. Even with the Purple mattress I was still not sleeping through the night regularly with some insomnia issues from time to time...but in the Zero Gravity setting I am sleeping for hours without tossing and turning. It's great combo of the smart base and the Purple mattress.

When my wife and I looked into upgrading to a Purple mattress after almost 20 years on our former mattress, we tried it out with this Premium Smart Base at the store. Right away, we knew that we had to get them together to maximize the full Purple bed experience. Being able to turn the bed into a seat, recliner, or lounger is a game changer. I've never had that option and now that we do, it's nice and I can't go back. It gives me another comfortable place in the house to sit and lounge. We've also watched movies projected on our bedroom wall while sitting up on our bed. It was easy to put together and simple to operate. The only complaint I have is that it shifts our heating mattress cover a bit and the whole mattress moves forward some. So when I make it go back flat, there's more space between the top of the mattress and the headboard. I just adjust it back by lifting up the foot of the mattress all the way and then making it go flat again. Other than that, it's been a great upgrade. We put a bed skirt around it to make it look nicer and there's a lot of space to put stuff under the bed. We love our Purple bed set (RestorePlus Hybrid + Premium Smart Base)!

But the remote is horrible. the iPhone app doesn't have all the functions so we have to use it. it should light-up when touched. when it's dark, i can't see anything on the remote to change the setting. Please update the remote (and send it to me)! Otherwise, the base is offers a lot. it's very heavy, so keep that in mind when going upstairs!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They don't work with Purple headboard I got these brackets because I was told they worked with the purple headboard but after I got the headboard I quickly found out that was not the case. I had to return that headboard and get a different one and they didn't really work very will with that one either. I ended up having to zip-tie the headboard to the brackets just as a last resort. I definitely don't recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bye-Bye Back Pain I love this bed frame, I loved this bed frame as soon as I got it, it's lovely to be able to easily sit up in bed without risk of anything slipping between the mattress and headboard, and as if the comfort of my mattress weren't already opulent, being able to adjust everything *just so* makes it even better. But I have lower back pain from an old skiing injury in my teens, and I usually wake up creaky and sad, even with my beloved mattress, and it takes a while to get everything moving properly again. The last two nights, despite being a side sleeper, I decided to have a go at sleeping on my back in the zero-G configuration. I woke up with exactly no back pain the last two mornings. I am flabbergasted, but thrilled. 12/10 would buy this bed frame again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We love it, but support/warranty is concerning So far we love the base and it's nice it has a 10 year warranty, but I am a little concerned because it's not handled through Purple. They send you to another company who didn't even bother answering an email with a question about the base. That leaves me a little concerned about how good the 10 year warranty actually is. Hopefully it'll hold up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent base without controller flexibility My base is a split king and overall it functions well but my only complaint is that you can't control either side of the base with one controller. Each side has it's own controller. My prior bed was a competitors split king and with that one I could control either side of the bed with either controller. You didn't necessarily have to have the controller for that particular side. That way if your spouse starts to snore to could raise up thier head a little bit without getting out of bed and searching for their controller.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The art of buying a bed So I've only bought one bed in my adult life before my purchase I'd always used 2nd or 3rd hand. When buying my bed believe me or not- there's alot of variables like quality, size or frame if one can even afford the frame. In my search the one thing you can't comprehend is whats your body type need?? Unknown to me, I like more firm of a mattress I honestly thought I liked soft till I couldn't get comfortable. Literally I had to get my back rubbed down through a message therapy thinking I pulled out a muscle or somthing...after about 2 weeks on my new purple mattress I've became human again in the sense my back issues were caused by my old bed. Now having used my bed for about a year my back discomfort is a thing of the past an im to counting sheep in greener acres.

We went with a king bed and the adjustable base to help with her heartburn. We basically slept elevated her entire pregnancy and now we use it to read in bed.

The cord that links the two separate sides makes the bed just one king size bed. They are no longer independent. The remotes also are supposed to control both sides. Which they do not.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Raising knees - places you in "V" shape Hi, do you like the adjustable frame and it's responsiveness when you go to raise your knees up it only raises the foot of the bed so now you're sitting basically in a V-shaped it's not very comfortable, yes, I have checked with support- all the pieces are there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ascent Headboard Bracket I will say that the headboard brackets do work in the sense that they will hold your headboard upright. They were also fairly easy to install once I had the correct directions. I do recommend purchasing them/installing them at the same time you buy/setup the Ascent power base. I bought these after I already had the bed fully setup, and it required me to use a car jack to lift the bed so I could unscrew the leg(s) of the bed to install the bracket(s). However, I will say that it doesn't seem to hold the headboard too sturdy. They do not currently make a footboard bracket either which I find disappointing. Glad I bought the brackets because I like the look of having my headboard back, just a little disappointed in how sturdy it feels and not having the option to install footboard brackets.
