Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as comfortable I bought a purple mattress last year and I just love it, so comfortable. I just purchased a second mattress for my other home and it such a disappointment. I bought the same mattress as my first but the second one does not seem to be of the same quality and the depth is way different. At the time I placed my order I did not notice there was a voice between thickness. My second order was a queen purple, my first was a full purple, such a difference in comfort between the two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally no more shoulder pain/arm numbness I used to wake up to shoulder pain and a numb arm on my old mattresses. As a regular side sleeper, I was hoping this bed would cradle and support me while relieving pressure. I was skeptical, but man I'm finally able to sleep on my side all night and wake up with no pain or numbness. Also as a semi-regular stomach/back sleeper, I was hoping this mattress would also be firm enough to support but not cause pain. I'm able to sleep in any position now with just the right amount of cradle. Won't be going back to a non-Purple mattress! Weight: 150lb

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal Mattres for Us I was definitely skeptical about the mattress, especially after reading the Wirecutter review. But my wife wanted to try it because I sleep hot and I was surprised to find I loved it. I wish this was available for us to try in the Purple store we went to, instead we had to find a Mattress Firm that had it (none nearby) or order blindly online. Because we liked the Purple Plus we tried in the store but wanted something a little firmer, we took a chance on it and ended up being very happy. It's just the right amount of squish and firmness for us and it really does keep me cool during the night and doesn't transfer much movement. My wife is sleeping better than ever. It did take something like a week for my back to adjust to the mattress but after that it was totally fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love it, great for hip pain It really does measure up. We were putting off spending the money but my hip pain became so bad, I knew SOMETHING needed to change. Knowing someone who has a Purple of their own, they swore by it, so we wanted to try. No regrets at all! Within the first week my hip pain decreased and we were sleeping better. Hip pain is still around after a couple months but very notable decreased, which is really more than I could have asked or hoped for- I can even sleep on my bad hip again which I wasn't able to do for months and months. My partner also loves it and sleeps far better, always saying how awesome the new bed is. As well as sleeping, lounging in bed is finally tolerable and not painful. Sitting on our old mattress used to hurt instantly and now on my Purple I can be comfortable for hours. This is our genuine experience, no incentive to write this but I just seriously recommend a Purple for anyone who was in similar daily and nightly pain from their hip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Purple Beds This is my second Purple mattress and I LOVE it! The first was a Hybrid-3, which was great and now I recently purchased a regular / "original" Purple mattress. Honestly, I prefer this original Purple over the Hybrid-3. It weighs a lot less, it costs less, and it has more of a memory foam bed feel than the more "springy" hybrid. If you are used to a memory foam bed then I think you would like the original Purple bed. I love mine. Pressure point pain is a thing of the past. So glad I got this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good Mattress The overall experience with the king size purple mattress is good. We ordered the king size mattress and and it was scheduled for delivery. The frame arrived on a Tuesday as scheduled and the mattress was suppose to arrive the next day and never did. When I called Purple and told them the tracking said it was suppose to arrive, they just told me sorry. The mattress ended up arriving the next day and we have slept on it for about 2 weeks. At first, we noticed that it was a little more firm than expected, but we have adjusted and I have had some very good nights sleeping. We overall like the mattress in out short time with it, and recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Undecided Honestly, I can't decide how I feel about the purple mattress. I think that a lot of the problem is that my body has had a hard time adjusting to the bed. So I am still frequently waking up with back and neck pain in the morning, but that very well could be because my back has a lot of issues in general. I was surprised at how firm the mattress is. I frequently find myself wishing that it was a bit softer because I have noticed that my hips and shoulders get stiff throughout the night. But I have heard great things about the purple mattress, and I am definitely willing to stick it out to see if my body is the issue or if I just don't like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic Bed; bad delivery experience Hi, I think the mattress is great. I had forgotten what ts was like to just enjoy simply lying on your bed. However, when it was delivered the delivery person simply left it just inside the front door of my building. I am on a 4th floor walk up and I explained I would not be able to move it myself. I had assumed the mattress would actually be delivered to door or that at least that they would offer to help bring it up four flights of stairs. After hurting my shoulder I finally got help from one of the other tenants in my building. Considering how much the bed weighs I think you should consider ensuring it is delivered to the individuals door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Bed and Platform The bed is really comfortable to sleep on and I no longer wake up in the morning with a stiff back. Putting the platform together was easy and the directions were easy to follow. Unpacking the bed itself was more difficult and better directions (or a link to better directions on the packaging) would have been nice. My only dislike is the lack of edge support on the bed. If you sit on the edge to put on your clothes, it sinks a lot more than I'm used to. Similarly, if I actually sit on the bed rather than lie on it, I sink in much more, it is like a waterbed rather than an innerspring bed that I am used to. In all, I'm very happy with the bed.

Every mattress company has a marketing gimick these days, but results talk. -I sleep hot (no AC in my house); this is the coolest mattress I've ever used. -Every mattress with memory foam smells when you first open them up; I opened a window and the scent was gone in 4 hours. Stop whining. -I have mild central sleep apnea and always wake up feeling groggy; no longer an issue. -Side, back, and stomach sleeper; it's all good. Sleep on whatever you like. I took time out of my day to write this because I actually believe Purple beds are better than whatever else you're considering spending your money on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I purchased the original purple mattress version. I received the sheets as free gift. The sheets did shrink and lost color, but have a soft feel to them. For the mattress I advise buyers open on the floor so the dust on the plastic does not stain your bed or box spring. Also air it out without sheets for as long as you can. The smell is strong at first and will seep into pillows. I have only had it for 2 weeks and it has been comfortable night sleep. It's a medium firm feel. It does not feel like memory foam. It has a faster bounce back you can feel. I look forward to see how it holds up after a year or two. That will be the real test for us.

I've been suffering from back/rib pain for years, sometimes so bad that it would wake me up in the morning and I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. I tried different memory foam mattresses, putting pillows under my side, etc, and nothing worked. I finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to try the purple, and now my pain is gone! I was somewhat skeptical when ordering but it really works. My boyfriend is a back sleeper and also wakes up with frequent back pain. Now he loves coming over to sleep on the purple because it helps alleviate his pain as well. The service was great. Wonderful experience overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Honestly, best mattress I've owned I've only had the purple mattress for a few weeks, but I can truthfully say I've had deeper sleeps almost every night. I rarely ever dreamt sleeping on my old mattress but now I'm having dreams on the regular. It's pretty sweet. I've also tried all those 'test' that supposedly bring that white powder up dramatically with black clothing and I haven't seen any powder what so ever, so that's been comforting as well. It takes some getting used to since it's radically different from your typical mattress, but it's been one of the better decisions I've made this year for myself. Definitely recommend this to anyone considering getting a new mattress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy man, no more back pain I am 6' 2" 300lbs. I am a big guy by any definition. I have struggled with back pain for a decade. Frequently my morning back pain is so back I can barely walk for the first hour after I get up. I've now been sleeping on the purple mattress for over a month and no longer have any morning back pain. It took about 3 nights to figure out how to get truly comfortable, now I sleep through the night and wake up without any pain. I used to wake up at 3 am with intense pain and have to go sleep in a recliner, now I sleep clear through my alarm. If you are a big guy, you need this bed. It is a deal at twice the price. Seriously, big guys need this bed.

After sleeping on my new Purple Mattress for a couple weeks, the pain in my hips are completely gone & my back is vastly improved! The mattress is soft on the top portion, cradling the body just as the advertisement says, under the soft, waffle type material is a supportive, dense material that is pretty firm. The mattress as a whole was firmer than I anticipated but exactly what my body needed! Firm it is, but not hard. I'm truly having much better sleep & have recommended my mattress to a few friends. Th as no you Purple People for my fantastic mattress!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my Best Investments We as human we spend 1/3 of our time sleeping, that's why getting a good bed is a task that requires time, effort and good research. I had my doubts at first when I saw the purple mattresses, but after 1 months of research and comparison I took the leap of faith. And Oh Boy! The jump was really rewarding! This bed is incredible, I used to suffer from sleeping disorder due to my previous bed, but now, since I'm using Purple mattress, I haven't had any sleeping disorder and I'm sleeping my 8 hours straight without any problem! I totally reccomend this mattress to anyone! Don't hesitate in buying it! Just do it and you will feel the difference!

Within two weeks of sleeping on it I already noticed a big difference. Within two months my chronic back pain was gone! I no longer need to visit my chiropractor! I am telling everyone to get a Purple Mattress! Another point I wanted to make is how great the financing is for the Purple Mattress. I ended up using the six month financing option which made the mattress more affordable. Not only that but if you pay off the mattress in six months, you don't pay any interest. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase of my life I was a little nervous about spending so much on a mattress and base but it turns out it was the best purchase of my life. I ended up buying the mattress cover and sheets after I found out how amazing this mattress is. I am a side and back sleeper. Usually during the night my right hip begins to hurt because I don't move while sleeping. This pain wakes me up and I have to roll onto my back. This used to happen multiple times a night. Now that I have a purple mattress I don't budge at night. I sleep on my side all night and have no more hip pain. This mattress is so comfortable I don't want to get out of bed. My bedroom is my new living room!

Let's start this off with saying that although we waited one month for our mattress, two months for the frame, and the mattress protector is coming this week...once we set up the frame and put the King size Purple mattress upon it, it's been awesome! No more hurting when I get out of bed, no sore muscles from lying on a crappy spring mattress. You cannot go wrong getting this mattress. And although it took some time to get the products, it's been well worth the wait. Purple responded when I asked them about my order status, and it's the best money I have ever spent on a mattress. Never again will we own anything other than a Purple mattress!

It would have gone back Sooner but that was the earliest I could return it. There is no comparison, your mattress is head and shoulders Above. After the first night I thought I was going to go through the Same thing because it was a little uncomfortable. I realized that we had used the mattress protector from the Previous mattress so we took it off and it was like night and Day. Best night sleep I have had in years and wake up in No pain. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissatisfied I'm actually trying to sell my mattress on the local barter page. We slept on the purple for almost four months. We both started having problems. Specifically the edges of the mattress tend to wear out. My spine started to curve out to the edge of the mattress. I started to see my chiro for adjustments weekly. After a month of no improvement I moved back to our old mattress in the spare room and my back improved in less than a week. Purple wouldn't refund our money but did send another mattress that we don't want. So now I've got two of these mattresses that are useless to me. On top of that the pillow with air cushion is a disaster as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd buy We liked this bed so much we bought a second one. We are both side sleepers and went with the original purple bed. If you buy the purple frame to use instead of traditional box spring it makes the bed a little more firm. We actually prefer it to be softer so we are going back to box springs. You do need to give the bed a full 30 days before your body gets use to being supported correctly. It caused both of us to have a sore neck for about the first three days then all of a sudden you begin having the best sleep you have ever had. I use to need 10-12 hours of sleep a night to feel rested. I now sleep so well I'm rested after 6-8 hours of sleep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sometimes it pays to listen to your wife I am a big person so when my wife started complaining about our previous bed and wanting to get this thin purple mattress I thought she was crazy. She convinced me to give it a try. We have 100 days to get our money back she said. We put our old bed in our guest bedroom. The other night I decided to give our old bed a try. I took my purple pillow and tried to sleep on my old mattress. The 22" deep one with 6" of broken down latex on top. Let's just say we are now saving to replace the mattress in our camper because I don't want to spend another night without the purple mattress. We have the power base, mattress protector, sheets, and pillow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sleeping Much Better My husband just had back surgery for 2 bulging discs in his lower back. It was very hard for him to get comfortable and sleep through the night. Now with the Purple he can sleep all through the night and even sleep on his back. My husband also has issues with night sweats. He notices that he is not sweating as much on the Purple, but did expect it to be more cooler than it is.We bought the purple sheets with the mattress purchase and found the flat sheet to be too grabby on our night clothes and too thin for a comfortable sleep. The fitted sheet and pillow cases work perfectly. All in all we love our Purple mattress, pillows and accessories.

I have severe scoliosis and in the past, other mattresses have made my lower back hurt more than standing on my feet all day. The purple mattress has been a godsend. I normally toss and turn and end up on my side but with purple I've been staying asleep on my back longer. It's definitely a different feel but it only took me a couple nights to get used to it. When they say it's soft where you want it and firm where you need it, they weren't joking. I don't think I'll ever be able to sleep on another mattress unless it's a purple mattress. Also, these sheets are the softest sheets I have ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chronic hip/back pain already getting better! Night 1 Purple Review: Ok, so it's different. It's pretty firm, but it's not hard at all. It's just very supportive. I don't really know how to describe it! It really does feel firm and soft at the same time. For the first time in forever I could actually roll over without my hips feeling like they're going to shatter. Just LAYING in the bed made me feel sleepy, and I actually woke up this morning feeling like I slept good all night. My boyfriend says it's the best sleep he's ever had. I know it takes a few nights to get used to your new mattress, so I'm guessing it's only going to get better. We shall see! P.S. The raw egg test is legit lol

So excited to try it....my husband loves it but has had more time on it then I have due to my trip to my parents. So I'm still testing it out! I loved the service and am liking the mattress though I warn you, after sleeping on a too soft mattress for years this one had me feeling beat up the first few nights! I believe it's because I'd slept on such a horrible one. It was not an achy feeling but like I'd had a deep tissue massage type beat up. So I'm not waking up like that anymore but still haven't adjusted to it just yet. :) With 100 days to try it out, why wouldn't you?

With all this confidence I knew I had to try it. And once I did both my wife and I were amazed. We loved it so much we've been telling just about anyone that would listen to us about purple. We even bought a second one and will slowly replace all the mattresses in our house to purple mattresses. I also love the sheets that we got. Softest most comfortable sheets ever. I've never had a bad nights sleep even when my 1 years old wakes us up in the middle of the night haha. Eventually, I want to try their pillows and test that out.

We spent all of our savings on this bed, and unfortunately, in my opinion and my sleep's opinion, the quality of my sleep went down a notch. My husband said it is my pillow, that I need a new pillow. Well, would you find it in your heart to send me a "free" pillow. If, in fact, it does increase the quality of my sleep, I promise to buy it. If not, I will send the pillow back. I hope you accept this as I am dismayed. We also gave our mattress away free, so there is no going back. I appreciate your loyalty to let me try one of your pillows free.
