Rated 1 out of 5 by from I HATE IT I started having problems on day 3 of receiving my brand new bed and contacted Purple via email 3 times and no one has responded. You would think that such an expensive mattress would generate better customer service but I obviously was wrong. As of Jan. 11, 2024, I'm still trying to return this thing! Also the sizes of the mattress is way smaller than what is advertised, not even close to what it's supposed to be.

The past year my back's gotten so bad from sleeping on the old mattress that I would wake up three or four times a night. That completely stopped when I got the purple mattress. This mattress is so comfortable I don't even need a pillow half the time. I am 130 lb so it works just fine for me. My boyfriend is 220 lb and he body has never felt better. It has completely helped relieve pain from his shoulders and arms. I highly recommend a purple mattrss for someone who does a lot of manual labor. Or anyone who want to sleep through the night.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much better than my ultra-firm memory foam mattress. Preface- We replaced our current memory foam mattress because it was too firm. The mattress as stated is rolled into a tight package that takes two adults to carry (upstairs) . We got the purple plus, so it has 2" of additional foam. Even with an additional 2" of foam this mattress was still thinner than the one it replaced. Bottom line is that I sleep better, albeit I am 230 lbs and a bit too heavy for this mattress according to reviews I read. No more hip pain. On the down side the outer edges have little support, so it is difficult to sit on the edge of the bed without sliding off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd purple mattress We love purple. We bought the original mattress in a queen size 6 years ago. It's still in amazing shape and super comfy. We bought our 2nd one because we wanted a king. We decided to try the purple plus and we love it. My spouse prefers firm mattresses, and I prefer medium-firm. He was skeptical about trying a different type but he and I both love it. The only suprise to us was that the plus is taller than the original, but that's not a con for us. I recommend purple to everyone. I never wake up with pain and it's super supportive no matter what kind of sleeper you are.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected surprise. We were frustratingly making our 4th mattress choice of this year. While shopping at our AFB BX, I noticed the purple display mattress and gave it a try. After a bit more research we took the plunge. My first night wasn't magical but I didn't experience head and hip pain and was able to stay the entire night on the same mattress. I am pleased with each subsequent night on the PURPLE PLUS. 4 weeks in and after years of disappointing mattress purchases I am quite pleased with this one. The only problem is that our 3 pets are also content for the entire evening as well!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Instruction manual is terrible I would have given 5 stars except the instruction manual and associated photos are incredibly difficult to discern. In todays You Tube world, a video would have been an easy way to convey how to put the thing together, instead the assembly manual has poorly photographed pictures that offer incomplete and inadequate orientation of the 4... (yes only 4) bolts and 2 pins. The sales rep at the store said "it snaps right together"... far from it. You will need at least 3 to 4 strong people to put this together. Aside from the assembly nightmare, the thing works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade from a regular mattress The wife and I decided to get a new mattress after many years. We have had it about a month so far and we have enjoyed it. We side sleep a bunch and, so far, we feel good when we wake up. I don't think it helps with snoring, so I've heard, but you can't win them all lol. The set up went pretty well. I did it solo, but wrestling a queen size was no joke for me being on the smaller size. I did watch the Fed Ex guy who delivered it struggle with it to drag it to the garage, so I felt bad for having it delivered by a single person. The bag that it comes in was nice and heavy duty, so even after being dragged a bit it didn't hurt anything. The base was easy to set up and seems very sturdy. Overall we are happy with our purchase!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too hot and too firm for me. A few of my family members have the Purple mattress and LOVE it. I wanted so badly to love it, too!! Unfortunately it did not work for me at all. I've never been so roasting hot at night. I've been sweating, tossing and turning from overheating. Apparently my body doesn't like to sleep on hyper elastic plastic polymers. :-( In addition, it was too firm for me. I am a side sleeper, and am light weight. I woke up every morning with upper back pain. I think I'm more sensitive than lots of people. If you're heavier and are a back sleeper, I'm sure you'd love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purple bed, leg support is fantastic. After deliberating on getting a purple mattress i decided to try the bed out for myself and my brother, (2 actually brought same model). When you first crawl into the bed, it kind of feels like waterbed underneath you. The bed however is firm and does have support for your back and sides. I sleep on my back at first and then end up on my side throughout the night. When I move, I notice the bed does contort to your body quickly. My biggest issue on my last bed was that my feet would always drop and will not elevate because of a whole, however the purple bed always has my legs in the right lifted position. I had the mattress for a couple of weeks already and myself and my brother agrees it's the best mattress we had ever purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purple Plus I hate this mattress and is a horrible company. I own the purple 3, purple 4, and the purple plus. These beds have ruined my everyday life and my everyday thoughts. Everything feels wrong to me. I want a purple couch, purple chair, purple desk chair, purple car seats, and purple floors. I had to move my Football Sunday setup to my room so I can lay in my purple to be comfortable. It's all I think during the day, and I can never get out of bed in the mornings. This technology should of never been introduced to humanity unless you planned ahead to have all Purple household items be available as well. Thank you Purple for ruining comfort in all aspects in life, other than my mattress. Sincerely, Your most hated and loved customer ever

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality bed but... The bed itself is great but for me its too firm, I was expecting it to be softer since its the purple plus. Since I have the in home trial I am keeping it a bit longer to see if my body will adjust. I've had it for a month now and I'm still waking up with back pain. I would love to use the upgrade option they give you but Im a disabled vet and can't afford the the hybrid options. I got this mattress because my cousin has the hybrid and raves about it all the time I was hoping the original plus would be comparable to the hybrid in softness but its not.

I'm a side sleeper and we have a platform bed made of hardwood, which has zero give. We had a too-firm mattress (one of the foam/coil Purple hybrids from Mattress Firm -- SO FIRM). Swapped it for this one and I am so comfortable at night now, I actually enjoy lying down on the bed. We had the original Purple mattress for about 7 years and upgraded to this. With some cooling sheets, I don't get hot overnight at all and I don't wake up with any neck, back or hip pain anymore, Hallelujah.

I have researched until I was blue in the face before finally deciding on the original Purple Mattress. Upon chatting with a Purple Expert at length my husband and I finally pulled the trigger. We purchased the Purple Plus in a King. The first week we had the bed I was having severe back spasms and let me tell you....this bed helped me soooo much!! I also bought the adjustable base to go with it and I am so pleased with my entire purchase. Do yourself a favor and buy it, you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problem solved Being overweight, menopausal and having severe back problems finding a mattress that was supportive, comfortable and one that didn't make me sweat all night was proving difficult. Our purchase of the Purple was the 7th mattress brand we tried in the past three years! I highly recommend it. If I was to say there was a down side it would be that the edges are not very support. I have to skittle over to more towards the middle or I feel as if I will roll off. We bought the Queen Purple Plus. I am going to save up for the King Hybrid Premier 4"!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Perfect After years of sleeping on ultra expensive top name brand mattresses, box spring, foam, combination, pillow top, adjustable bases, etc., NONE have compared to the extreme comfort of the Purple mattress. Now with chronic back and hip issues, the Purple is the only mattress that offers me totally pain-free sleep. I no longer toss and turn - no need to readjust my position. I have had the bed for a month and am still amazed that I awake pain-free and well-rested. That combined with the ease of delivery and assembly make this bed simply perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed my life! I had severe pain all night every night with screaming pain in my bones. I am a cancer survivor but along with that I have severe neuropathy. The Purple has changed my life and I get immediate relief and can sleep for the first time in years. My sister has a purple and when I visited her in Florida I slept in her bed and could not believe the difference. Needless to say when she bought me my Purple Plus I was so happy I cried. Please just keep making this mattress the exact same way and don't change like the pillow which is now horrible.

Was worth all that time waiting. I no longer wake up with hip or lower back pain. I notice I been falling asleep faster and staying asleep longer too. I'm no longer tossing and turning. Occasionally I will switch from my back or side. But I'm mostly sleep on my side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good so far I'm enjoying my new Purple Plus very much. My hips don't hurt in the morning, and I'm not flipping back and forth like a fish on the dock 20 times a night. If I had it to do over, though, I would probably get the next plushest level, one that's a little less firm. Lesser marks for the company. While I appreciate what they did to fix their original error in my order, I was promised an email with tracking number. I never received it. The two mattresses were just left, unannounced, on my front porch. Fortunately, someone was home.

It's not a cooling mattress it's a heating pad!! I don't know who you pay to say this is great but I don't even want to give you one star! Crap! Crap! Crap! My two inch foam mattress I use for camping is more comfortable than this mattress

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would not work with Purple again The Purple product is very good. Their delivery partners are categorically very very poor. Purple basically washes their hands of the customer the minute the credit card is charged. Within 3 months we purchased 2 Purple mattresses in two different cities. Both times the delivery experience was so bad that I cannot recommend Purple. They gifted us purple items for our trouble. That was nice. But I wouldn't go through it again. Instead, I'll shop where I am more certain of customer service satisfaction through delivery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice softness but not cool I bought the mattress because the old one was getting too hard for me. What I looked for was a combination of softness and support. That I got. I actually do sleep better on this mattress. However, I keep waking up in the morning sweating profusely, even if the heat is off and I haven't changed my usual cover and night garb. That's disappointing, since the promise was for the mattress to give you a cooler sleep. A second problem was the shipping. I requested that it be shipped later, as I would be on vacation. But no, it was shipped a couple of days after I placed my order. This created a complicated back-and-forth hassle with FedEx. Fortunately, it turned out OK in the long run, but I suggest that you consider arranging a shipping date with your customers and stick to it.

But if you like a tight fitting smooth looking bed - it will never look like that after the first time you sleep on it Very very expensive product for the quality

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT COMFORT My husband is an amputee and was having trouble maneuvering himself sitting up and getting out of bed. He noticed a difference the very first night -- he slept comfortably and said he didn't think he even moved at all during the night. I slept more soundly as well. We also ordered the mattress protector which fits the mattress, but I was disappointed that it was not the type that enclosed the mattress completely. So far, things are good. We're waiting to see if anything changes before our 90 days are up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, Good Mattress It's firm, but soft, and lives up to the promise of a cool-but-not-cold night of sleep. Edge strength is a little lacking, but on a Queen or larger, not a problem. We got the soft stretch sheets as well, which have a nice weight and breathe well. And finally we got the harmony pillows, which are similarly firm-but-flexible and cool all night. Packaging kept the bed and foundation safe in the mail, and it wasn't hard to assemble. Full marks for quality and comfort. The full package was a great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mattress I've seen reviews say that this mattress is not good for stomach sleepers but after sleeping on it myself for about 30 days now I can honestly say I don't know what they're talking about I have no issue sleeping on my stomach on this mattress it's a really great mattress a bit pricey but you get what you pay for only complaint I have is there isn't too Much edge support When sitting on the side of the bed I do that every morning to put my shoes on and can't help but feel like I'm falling off
