Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't last 2 years We purchased this less than 2 years ago. It is now collapsed in/indented in so much that when you put your hand on it the rubber just folds in. In order to claim the warranty they want you to take an entire set of photos which I have a newborn baby and don't have time to take my bed apart and get each specific photo that they require. So thought I would leave a review really quick. For the price I expected it to last way longer than under 2 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasting Quality and Comfort We purchased our Purple a few years ago even though we really couldn't afford it on fixed income. Best "illogical" decision we've made! We're unintentionally hard on our furniture but Purple holds up like new. The lack of motion transfer is greatly appreciated by us and our furfriends! (Ad idea: Large husky people plop on bed after differing hours of hard work yet bunnies remain nonplussed. Based on our true story.) The design also seems prohibitive to fleas: I wouldn't claim repellent but definitely more resistant than any other mattress available. It also makes our varying schedules much easier to manage as one of us being active doesn't disturb the other's needed rest. Bottom line: The cost seems high initially but Purple is worth the investment. (Remember when things were built to last a lifetime or more? Regardless if you do or not, Purple mattresses are made with this quality.) Initial expenditure far exceeded by quality, longevity and other unexpected benefits.

Decided to ditch my old uncomfortable mattress and upgrade to a Purple mattress because of a recommendation from a mom friend. It's an absolute game changer! My back pain has gotten so much better and even though my belly keeps getting bigger, I know my Purple mattress will keep me comfortable for the rest of my pregnancy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A bit underwhelming compared to my original Purple Was a bit underwhelmed by the height of the mattress. We also don't like feeling the grid, and had to add a topper, even though "toppers aren't recommended". The end of the mattress seems like it hasn't recovered from being rolled up, so it's not quite a straight line. I had a queen-size Original Purple from 2017-2021 that seemed better.

We did go with a hybrid model and were not happy. Custom service was amazing with helping switch back to the original Purple style. It was easy and we are so happy with it. We will always use Purple over any other mattress.

The first was a Hybrid-3, which was great and now I recently purchased a regular / "original" Purple mattress. Honestly, I prefer this original Purple over the Hybrid-3. It weighs a lot less, it costs less, and it has more of a memory foam bed feel than the more "springy" hybrid. If you are used to a memory foam bed then I think you would like the original Purple bed. I love mine. Pressure point pain is a thing of the past. So glad I got this.

I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and I have not had to use any sort of support pillow while sleeping. I have slept the best during this pregnancy (baby #4) all because of my purple mattress!

That helped my energy level and I was able to continue my health regiment to lose weight and after a year I was able to have my hip replacement surgery!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as comfortable I bought a purple mattress last year and I just love it, so comfortable. I just purchased a second mattress for my other home and it such a disappointment. I bought the same mattress as my first but the second one does not seem to be of the same quality and the depth is way different. At the time I placed my order I did not notice there was a voice between thickness. My second order was a queen purple, my first was a full purple, such a difference in comfort between the two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unmatched comfort and amazing customer service I used to wake up with back pain every morning. This mattress changed that completely. The 2 " gel grid keeps you supported and cool unlike memory foam mattresses that accomplish neither. After 8 years of owning one the only issue we had was a small section of the grid ( about 6 " diameter) had broken down and created a small dip in the mattress. I contacted customer service and a replacement was sent within a week. It is nice to see a company nowadays that actually stands behind their products and warranties for them . Definitely will buy again and highly recommend to my friends.

Its unique design offers perfect support and cushioning, making our nights more restful than they ever were on our old mattress. Nothing beats waking up refreshed and ache-free. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bed ok for a couple years I bought the Purple 3 in 2019 and it was great for about 2 years. now since I have owned it for about 5 years the mattress sags pretty bad on both sides, My wife and My side. I weight about 200 and my wife weighs about 180. Now I wake up with worse pain every day and think I need to throw the mattress away. for the price I would not recommend for long term.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Setup for Single Mom I live alone with my 16 year old daughter. First, my cloud pillows came (which are FABULOUS!) The next day, my BED FRAME arrived in a long box. It was like 80lbs. I was able to carry it up 2 flights of stairs and into my bedroom with the HELP of my 16 yo daughter. The day after that, my MATTRESS arrived! I ordered a QUEEN and it weighted like 111 lbs!! My daughter and I were able to carry/ drag it up 2 flights of stairs and into my room! We are SMALL GIRLS. I was able to put the METAL BEDFRAME together by myself! But there was a part that I needed my daughter to help push the FRAME TOGETHER in order to get the screws in :) but other than that is was a BREEZE! Great instructions were included. PURPLE also included a couple tool to help screw the screws in! The mattress literally explodes open :) super easy! I was LAYING DOWN on MY NEW MATTRESS within SECONDS of opening it! IM OVERWHELMED THAT I WAS ABLE TO PUT THIS WHOLE BED TOGETHER JUST ME AND MU DAUGHTER!!!! Yay! PS.. YES! It is THE COMFIEST BED IMAGINABLE AND WORTH IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life-altering sleep I haven't napped in 20 years and I've taken 3 naps in the middle of the day since receiving my Purple mattress. I usually cannot fall asleep without sleep medication so this is huge. Even with medication I suffer from insomnia. I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Since the purple mattress I am falling asleep quickly and I am staying asleep all night!! It is a dream come true!! Thank you purple! I also am a hot sleeper and suffer from night sweats. This mattress doesn't just not make you hot it is cooling. I only wish I'd bought one sooner. I'll never sleep on anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal Mattres for Us I was definitely skeptical about the mattress, especially after reading the Wirecutter review. But my wife wanted to try it because I sleep hot and I was surprised to find I loved it. I wish this was available for us to try in the Purple store we went to, instead we had to find a Mattress Firm that had it (none nearby) or order blindly online. Because we liked the Purple Plus we tried in the store but wanted something a little firmer, we took a chance on it and ended up being very happy. It's just the right amount of squish and firmness for us and it really does keep me cool during the night and doesn't transfer much movement. My wife is sleeping better than ever. It did take something like a week for my back to adjust to the mattress but after that it was totally fine.

Also feels cooler than a regular or memory foam mattress. Love that the material instantly goes back to the regular shape as you move unlike memory foam which takes time to puff back up. Overall I am a fan and when the time comes I will go to Purple first again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Six months in, still loving jt. I slept on innerspring mattresses my entire life (even worked for a spring manufacturer for years), and was skeptical of foam mattresses. Purple converted me! The grid makes it feel like you're floating. I always had trouble falling asleep on my back; not anymore. No more uncomfortable hips and shoulders. It's supportive without feeling too firm. It's soft, but you don't sink into it. Quality of sleep has vastly improved for me and my sleeping partner.
