Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would not trade this bed for any other [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my personal bed I sleep in every night. I work odd hours at my job so getting great sleep is very important to me. This bed has not only surpassed my expectations but also made a life customer out of me. The quality of this bed matches its comfort. It did feel different to me at first given the fact that I used to own a foam mattress prior to this one. But after the first night I was sleeping like a baby. I will not hesitate to recommend this bed to anyone because it truly is worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the amazing opportunity to sample this mattress from Stearns & Foster through the BzzAgent Sampling Program. It's awesome!! Before I got it, I was always tossing and turning and waking up soaked in sweat but now I fall into a dead sleep and have no more night sweats!! I don't wake up so sore anymore either. This mattress is so comfortable and relaxing I find reasons just to hang out on it now. Thanks you Stearns and Foster!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 Defective S&F in a row Our first mattress from Stearns and Foster was a queen Cassatt. It was defective. One side had coils sticking poking through the top layers and the pillow top was bunching up. We got a refund and purchased a lux estate queen. It was also defective with almost the same problems as the first. I couldn't be more disappointed and honestly surprised. This brand should be better than this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sagging after six months I bought this mattress because of the reputation of the company and reviews and am very disappointed. After using it for six months it is sagging and I wake up with back and hip pain every morning. I never had back problems before getting this mattress. I am not even finished paying for it and am already looking to buy another mattress, but it won't be a Stearns and Foster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good Quality I had spine surgery a year ago and I bought another brand mattress just before surgery. It was messing up my spine. I thought I was stuck with it but I went to the store where I bought it and the salesman recommended making a warranty claim. I did and I was approved. I almost bought another brand which looked like it could be a problem. The salesman told me that another store had Stearns & Foster. I am so glad that I checked it out and I ended up buying the Estate Lux UF. At first I thought it was too firm but each day got a little better. It just needs a little time to get broken in. I will be buying Stearns & Foster from now on. The quality and craftsmanship are the best.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sent it back At first I thought this was the most comfortable mattress ever. Then I had one delivered and snapped out of it. When you first lay on it, it's soft and comfortable. About an hour or so into your sleep, you discover you are in a hot gully. The memory foam holds the heat and if you sleep warm to begin with, as I am, this will drive you nuts. Also, since they use a lot of memory foam in this mattress, the off-gassing goes on for more than 2 weeks - and that's with fans going and windows open on a cool day. If any of this is a problem for you, move along. I swapped this out and got something else. It's a shame, too. Except for the glue spot on the side of the mattress (which at this price point should not have been there), it seemed like it was made well.

This mattress has been great for a good nights rest, these past 4 weeks. I'm very happy with the mattress and will be recommending this to family and friends.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from great disappointment From the first night we tried to sleep on our Lux Estate Pillow top firm, to the 30 th day of trial, I have experienced great discomfort and no support from the mattress. We "sunk" into the firm pillow top and found it uncomfortable -non-supportive- of my back or hips. Each night we sink into the still sunken area of the bed, which makes it difficult to change position to find some relief of my increasing discomfort. I have required physical therapy weekly to treat the increased pain in my hips and upper back, (this condition was tolerable prior to the use of the new mattress). 50% of the time I resort to sleeping on an extra mattress we have in our guest room so that I can get a comfortable sleep. Our mattress is being evaluated as defective. No matter what the determination, we are exchanging this mattress for a different Stearns and Foster mattress-not another Lux Estate Pillow top firm model.

Our previous bed was a Sterns & Foster; I wanted a high end bed with amazing comfort and it was and lasted a very, very long time. When I got the previous mattress the warranty was 20 years I think, and when they took it away it was like new. There was no sagging, no marks (due to the mattress pads), nothing wrong - just time. We decided to give it a go again. We are very pleased with everything. Delivery was great and the delivery communication.

This mattress itself looks luxury. It is pretty thick, but has vents on both sides to keep it cool. Have been using the mattress for more than a month. The mattress is comfortable, haven't cause my back pain up to now. My husband thinks the 'cool to the touch' feather is not as good as it looks like. He feels this mattress is a little hotter than our old one, I don't think so though. One thing I don't like about his mattress is that, it is too tall for me, I am 5'2" and I have to climb onto the bed every time. Even my husband who is 6'2" thinks it is too tall.

I have been sleeping on this mattress for about 3 weeks now and am enjoying it. The pillowtop is incredibly plush and you just melt into it. I am a stomach sleeper and have trouble finding mattresses that are comfortable for me. This one has the softness of the pillowtop, but still has support, which is working out well for me. I have not been having as much back pain when I wake up. One concern I have is that despite having a firmness below the pillowtop for comfort while sleeping, the sides of the mattress do not seem to have as much side support as other mattresses I've had. I do not know if this will effect it long term, but is one thing I will be keeping an eye out fur issues as I have this mattress long term.

I have a bad back, so anything too soft makes it difficult for me to sleep. This mattress is both supportive and soft. I was skeptical because it is not a pillow top, but it was exactly what I needed. I have also been very impressed with how cool we feel while we are sleeping, no more sweaty nights!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I went from a king size bed to this queen size bed so we had to get used to sleeping that close to each other again, but after we got used to that I slept SO GOOD. I feel like the mattress adjust to my body perfectly giving me amazing support no matter which way I laid. The plush pillow top makes me feel like I am laying on a marshmallow cloud, it is so soft, but the mid firm layer under helped keep me from feeling like I was sinking down to far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Getting Used to My New Mattress With the Advance Motion adjustable base I can elevate my feet to reduce swelling. I love the soft feel of the mattress. It seems to fit my body and it is comfortable to sleep on. I don't love the depressions. They feel like there is a hole in the mattress. I don't love the rounded top. When I sit on the edge, it feels like I am going to slide off. I could lower the frame, but then I wouldn't be able to store plastic tubs underneath like my former mattress. i am looking forward to getting used to this mattress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this bed! This is our second Stearns and Foster mattress and this time we chose the Lux Estate firm pillowtop. As I'm recovering from a broken back, the promised support from this mattress was quite important. But after I ordered it, I worried it might be too firm. Well, I shouldn't have. The White Glove delivery was great. Right on time, quick and efficient. I couldn't wait to try it. Wow! Turned out this new mattress offers far more than simply support. Oh my yes. It's true comfort. Bottom line: we couldn't be happier with our purchase. Oh, and 'happy to report we're sleepin' like babies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sleep We made the mistake of going cheap and ordering a "highly rated" bed-in-a-box mattress sight unseen from another company and it was awful. We quickly returned that one and decided to get more serious and went in-store to try out some other mattress options. After many exhaustive options we finally landed on the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate, pillowtop firm. Still, it's hard to judge a mattress just from a quick 5 minute test in a store with sales people hounding you. I am here to say that we've now had our mattress for a full week and it's seriously the most amazing mattress I think I've ever slept on in my life. I will sound like an advertisement, but I also noticed my ongoing neck and shoulder pain has also disappeared. It's a splurge and an investment but so happy we made the upgrade.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from STRONG ODOR This is the 3rd mattress since June. #1 in 3.5 months had an indent of 1.5 inches. #2. Had such a Strong odor first night tightness in chest & told air out mattress. Went back to sleep on mattress & back broke out with rash. # 3. Again, strong odor, not as bad as #2. Again told to air out for 2 weeks. This mattress had a bend in corner as well. BTW, I am 5 ft & 110 lbs & only one to sleep on bed. Also, always been a fan of S&F. Bought 4 mattresses 7 yrs ago & loved them. Very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not going to lie, when I got the initial email asking about sleep habits and what type of mattress I sleep on, I was skeptical. When I received the confirmation that I was getting a mattress in exchange for a review, I still didn't believe it. It was delivered and set up with no issues. Lying on it initially, I thought it was too soft. But after a few days I realized it is truly amazing and I haven't slept this good in a long time!

I now have to buy a soft topper mattress pad because it is too firm. Never buy without first trying it. Since i had previously bought two it didn't seem necessary. Not bery good help online. The only thing i love is the appearance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mattress overall was quite comfortable in the beginning DO NOT PURCHASE THE PILLOW TOP!!!!! We have two body indentions in each side of the mattress where my husband and I sleep. Early on I had an inspection done for this reason and of course they said it wasn't bad enough to do anything about it. We rotate the mattress often but it doesn't help. When the grandchildren spend the night they remind us we have a lumpy bed. And every day, when I make up the bed it is a constant reminder of how bad it looks because you can see the indentions.

It was delivered a week later and I found my first night and every night since then sleep sound and extremely comfortable! I highly recommend this brand of mattress. My first one 20 years ago was a Stearns & Foster and I won't switch to another brand. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable mattress. First time sleeping on the new mattress. I thought it would be more firm than it is. The same mattress in the store seemed to be a bit more firm. I experienced a very restful sleep and woke up without the usual aches and pains that I had from my ten year old Sealy mattress. I like that it is a much thicker mattress than my previous mattress so I'm hoping it holds up much better and the side doesn't crush down from sitting on the side of the bed as my old mattress did. Only time will tell. The only thing that I don't like at this point is the cost of the mattress. The price was a deterrent until S&F offered a nice discount. I 'm hoping that the old saying, "you get what you pay for", holds true for my new mattress.

I am single and weigh 137 lbs so for this to happen this quickly I am questioning how much worse it will get with time?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pillow top provides the comfort I desired. I really like my new mattress. I tried it out for a couple of 15 minute trials in the store prior to purchase and it felt amazing. I actually believe the medium with a pillow top would have been my preference, but was not available to try. I sleep pretty well on this mattress but find I sink in a little more than I expected after laying in one position for a while, so that when I move from my back to side, I lightly wake, but return to sleep as the new position provides me comfort. The quality of the mattress will hopefully keep the support I need for years to come.

I have slept more comfortably and soundly than I did before. The mattress is very firm and doesn't sink, it's reliable and supportive. It's best for back or stomach sleepers as it is a very firm mattress. My husband is a large man and we've found this has supported both of our weights comfortably while not sagging or dipping. The mattress stays very cool even on these hot summer nights. It is very heavy so there's no moving it without strong help. Overall, the mattress is made soundly with breathable material that has helped us stay cool as well as no sag in the material. I would recommend this product for the firmness, quality and how well it breathes and stays cool.
