Official Rules for The Summer of Style Giveaway 2025 

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING. 

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION:  The Summer of Style Giveaway 2025 (“Event”) sponsored by Homemakers Plaza, Inc. (“Homemakers”) will begin on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM CST and end on Monday, August 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST (“Entry Period”). Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible Entries (as defined below) received. This Event and prizes are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. 

Eligibility: Open only to permanent, legal residents of the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and California, age eighteen (18) (or nineteen (19) where applicable) years or older at the time of entry. Employees of Homemakers Furniture, or its subsidiaries, promotion agencies, suppliers, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of employees are not eligible to enter or win the Event. 

Entry: An eligible submission must have at least 1 piece of furniture or at least 5 pieces of decor purchased from Homemakers. No virtual or artificially generated content is allowed. Each eligible submission is an “Entry” and each individual submitting an entry is an “Entrant.” 

Illegible, incomplete, garbled, unintelligible, reproduced, copied, printed and/or late entries are ineligible. All Entries become the property of Homemakers and will not be acknowledged. Entries must be received before the end of the Entry Period to be eligible. Homemakers’ determination for all matters related to this Event shall be final.  

How to Enter: The Event may be entered (a) by posting a before photo and after photo in the Entrant’s Instagram, Facebook or TikTok feed and using the hashtag #HMSOS and tagging @shophomemakers on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok or (b) submitting a properly completed mail-in entry including all of the required information as described below. The Entry must fulfill all Event requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Homemakers. You may enter multiple times, but each entry must be a different post of a different room or space using different Homemakers Furniture product. The day you post your project is the period you enter (i.e., if you completed your project in February but post your entry in July, you are entered for Period 2.) Limit one (1) entry per person per Periods 1, 2, and 3 for a total of up to three entries, regardless of method of entry. Entrants may only enter using one (1) social media platform. Multiple entries or entries through multiple platforms will result in disqualification. 

Mail-In Alternate Means of Entry: A person satisfying eligibility requirements detailed in these official rules may receive one (1) free mail-in entry without purchase.  In order to obtain a free mail-in entry, send a 3 x 5 postcard with your first name, last name, mailing address, phone number, date of birth, last four digits of your social security number, and e-mail address in a properly stamped #10 envelope to: “Summer of Style Giveaway 2025,” c/o Homemakers Furniture 10215 Douglas Ave, Urbandale, Iowa 50322. Mail-in entries must be received by June 30, 2025, to be eligible for Period 1, by July 31, 2025, to be eligible for Period 2, and by August 30, 2025, to be eligible for Period 3. Limit one (1) mail-in alternate method of entry per household address for Periods 1, 2, and 3 for a total of three (3) entries.   

If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Homemakers.     

Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Entrant (“You”) agrees to be bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. 

Winner Announcement: Homemakers will contact the Winners on or after the last date in each period. 

Prizes: There will be a total of seven (7) prizes (each a “Prize”) awarded: Two (2) $500 Homemakers Furniture gift cards for each of Periods 1, 2, and 3 (for total of six) and one (1) Grand Prize $2,000 Homemakers Furniture gift card for the Overall period.  The winning Entrants who complete and submit the Eligibility Documents as required will be Prize winners (each, a “Winner”) and each Winner will receive one Prize. The Grand Prize winner will be selected from all previous entries received during Periods 1, 2, and 3. This may also have been a previous Period Prize Winner.  

All applicable local, state, and federal taxes are of sole responsibility of Winner. Homemakers will furnish an Internal Revenue Service Form 1099 to each Winner for the value of the Prize for the year in which the Prize was received. Subject to completion and submission of the Eligibility Documents, Prizes will be mailed within 14 calendar days of being notified of winning or available for pickup at Homemakers Furniture Urbandale location. Failure to arrange for shipping or picking up the Prize within 14 days of notification will result in the Prize being forfeited.   

All details of the Prize will be determined by Homemakers in its sole discretion. Homemakers reserves the right to substitute any of the Prizes (or portion thereof) with a similar prize (or prize element) of comparable or greater value. All taxes and other expenses, costs, or fees associated with the acceptance and/or use of a Prize are the sole responsibility of Winner. A Prize cannot be transferred by Winner or redeemed for cash and is valid only for use at a Homemakers store or on homemakers.com, with no substitution of a Prize by Winner.  

Homemakers shall have the right, but not the obligation, to make any deductions and withholdings that Homemakers deems necessary or desirable under applicable federal, state and local tax laws, rules, regulations, codes or ordinances. Homemakers shall have no responsibility or liability for any element of Prize due to reasons beyond Homemaker’s control and is not responsible or liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence thereof.  

Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 

Winner Selection and Notification: After the close of the Entry Period, the Winner will be randomly selected by representatives of Homemakers from all eligible Entries received during the applicable Entry Period. Following the selection, Homemakers will attempt to notify the Winner via social media or other contact information provided in the Entry. Once contacted, the winning Entrant will have a reasonable time, as determined in Homemakers’ sole discretion, to contact Homemakers back at the contact number listed in the message. If a winning Entrant fails to reach Homemakers within the time set by Homemakers, the Entrant will be determined ineligible for the Prize and Homemakers will, time permitting, select another eligible entry from the remaining entries and award the Prize to the winner(s) so selected (the “Alternate Selection”). All rules listed in regard to eligibility will remain in effect for the Alternate Selection. The Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability, and publicity release (collectively, “Eligibility Documents”), which will be in a form supplied by Homemakers prior to claiming the Prize. A person who refuses to execute the Eligibility Documents will be deemed ineligible to claim the Prize. Homemakers may share Entrant’s name and contact information as necessary to administer the Event.  

Rights Granted by You: By entering this Event, You represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, You will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Homemakers. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, You shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Homemakers and its affiliates from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which Homemakers may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right. 

Terms & Conditions: Homemakers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Event should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Homemakers’ control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Event. In such case, Homemakers may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Homemakers. Homemakers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Event or violates these Official Rules.  

Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Homemakers and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, and their respective representatives, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) technical failures of any kind; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Event; (iv) electronic or human error in the administration of the Event or the processing of entries. The total liability of Homemakers for any reason under the competition and/or these Official Rules shall be limited to one hundred ($100) dollars. 

Disputes: THIS EVENT IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF IOWA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Event, Entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Event, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Iowa having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than Entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Event). Entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok: The Event sponsored by Homemakers is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok (each, a “Platform”). Homemakers reserves the right to disqualify from the Event any person that is found, or reasonably suspected, to be using automated means to unfairly influence the results of the Event, and Homemakers’ right is without prejudice to the right of the Platform to take action against such user with respect to any breach of the respective Platform’s Terms. 

By submitting entry, You, the Entrant, have affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to these Official Rules.
