My physical therapist friend recommended the purple cushion for my office chair. It's very comfortable and supportive and has allowed me to sit for longer periods of time as my back healed.

As I sat on it in my office chair, the top of the cushion seemed to shift forward. I had expected that it would be supportive, but it was not supportive at all. Disappointed! I received a refund quickly, which I do appreciate.

The square grid surface, when you sat on it, tilted towards the front edge of the pad. This always gives you feeling of slouching forward. It's also a rather heavy pad and certainly not worth the asking price, maybe half the price if that.

If your office chair has lumbar support and armrests then be aware that this cushion will elevate your body 1-2 inches from your seat. For me the added elevation from sitting on this cushion doesn't allow me to comfortably rest my elbows on my armrest. And the deal breaker for me is now my lower back sits too high up and no longer aligns with the built-in lumbar support on my chair. I spent a lot of money on my ergonomic office chair and can't use any of the Purple cushions with it. To Purple, you need to make a thinner cushion if you're going to advertise this as a cushion for Office Chairs. The Double Cushion is too thick, the Simply Cushion is too hard, and the Portable cushion is good but way too small of a surface area for normal adults to sit on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't stay in place I regret buying this seat cushion. It doesn't stay in place. I have to stand up and adjust it multiple times a day. When it moves out of place its very uncomfortable because you're partially off the cushion. Very disappointing for the amount it costs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wanted to love it! I was really hoping the double seat cushion (and separate lumbar support cushion) would make my office chair more comfortable. It does seem like a quality cushion thar feels comfy and squishy when you initially sit on it. It could definitely just be me/my office chair, however, after two+ months of use, my bum is noticeably sore, along with my upper legs and lower back. Essentially, new pain has developed after using this cushion in conjunction with my firm office chair. It seems as if my bum kind of folds into the center of the cushion and my sides then add pressure to my booty and privates. Very uncomfortable, almost numbing. For context, I'm 110 lbs, walk 3-4 miles/day, and stand at my desk, too (tho not as often as I should). I genuinely believe all the positive reviews but in my case this cushion did not have the desired effect. I'll donate it to someone who will enjoy it.

It was ordered to use in my recliner, in which I sit about six hours per day. The double siding is of no use, because the cushion is too heavy to flip during the day. I was very disappointed in the quality of the cover. I am using it, and it is comfortable , but not as described.

After trying 2 others that were firmer, this one has just the right amount of softness with the option of flipping it over if I want more firmness. I actually think it has helped with some of my knee pain, too. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought the back cushion, the double seat cushion and the ultimate back cushion. I use all three. I can throw down the ultimate cushion on the floor when getting on my knees. And if sitting very long in a chair it is not uncomfortable the same as it would be if I had any other cushion. The best I have ever tried. I am going to use them in my yoga practices snd workout bench practices. These cushions are essential for anyone with low back pain or sciatica.

Have to keep adjusting it before sitting down. Not a deal breaker. What's disappointing is where the little rubber bumps that's supposed to grip the seat they are falling off. Also where they are falling off the material is starting to fray. Also on the edges it's starting to gray. Another disappointment is there's only 1 carry handle. Cushion this size needs 2 not 1.

Pros - Overall this cushion seemed super nice when I got it. - To the touch of your hands is plush and super soft. - Great packaging - Arrived fast. Cons - After sitting on the cushion for more than 1 hour it starts to slide off my chair - While sitting the cushion actually "folds" down instead of cushions and creates a much harder surface. TLDR - For someone that works at a desk all day (don't worry I get up and take breaks) I'm quite disappointed in this cushion and given the cost I expected much more out of it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but the smell is nauseating I bought a chair cushion hoping it would stop the back pain I was experiencing from my office chair. It improved things a bit, but the toxic smell coming from the cushion has been nauseating. I hated even going in my office for a good 3 weeks from the smell. It's finally reduced, but I still can smell it once in a while. Due to this, I would not purchase again & would actually hesitate about purchasing another Purple product.
