Pros - Overall this cushion seemed super nice when I got it. - To the touch of your hands is plush and super soft. - Great packaging - Arrived fast. Cons - After sitting on the cushion for more than 1 hour it starts to slide off my chair - While sitting the cushion actually "folds" down instead of cushions and creates a much harder surface. TLDR - For someone that works at a desk all day (don't worry I get up and take breaks) I'm quite disappointed in this cushion and given the cost I expected much more out of it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't stay put I bought this to go on my office chair. The grippers on it don't grip and I'd have to adjust the pad several times a day. If the chair pad was incredible I probably could gloss over the annoyance. But the pad was just meh.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but the smell is nauseating I bought a chair cushion hoping it would stop the back pain I was experiencing from my office chair. It improved things a bit, but the toxic smell coming from the cushion has been nauseating. I hated even going in my office for a good 3 weeks from the smell. It's finally reduced, but I still can smell it once in a while. Due to this, I would not purchase again & would actually hesitate about purchasing another Purple product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Stinky to Use I bought this cushion over two weeks ago. The smell was horrible when opening the box and the cushion was obviously off gassing and releasing a lot of VOCs. I've left the cushion, uncovered, outside on a patio for over two weeks now. The smell is still too strong to being it inside. What a shame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too shabby Bought this for long hours in the desk chair. Fairly comfortable and definitely helps. Big drawback was the intense, chemical-like odor that also seems to rub off on your clothes. Really need a fix for that. Also, despite the "anti slip" cover it still slides around, requiring adjustments when sitting back down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cushion I am a huge fan of the purple mattress. That being said, I'm not super pleased with my pretty pricey seat cushion. I bought this due to sciatic nerve pain which I attribute to sitting in a very stiff chair to scan patients. I am a sonographer and I really wish the cushion was not a bulky square. It literally has no shape to contour to a standard office chair. Nice cushion but a poor design I feel. Also it's pretty thick so I find myself having to adjust my ergonomics frequently.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too expensive Not as relieving as I thought it would be for my back pain. I do highly recommend the back cushion though, it changed my life. I bought this seat cushion because I loved the back cushion and thought I might as well get the whole package, but when I sit on it it's not much of a difference from the other cheap cushions I have. I'm also struggling to get rid of the smell.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems comfortable but the smell is overwhelming and persiste The cushion was great for the 10 minutes that I was able to use it before the "new factory smell" became too overwhelming. I left it outside everyday for a week to air out but the smell is still present and it's impossible to use the cushion without getting a massive dose of the smell. Going to try leaving it outside for another week in hopes that the smell will fade, and that the cushion will eventually become usable, because it does seem functional and comfortable, just completely unusable because of the stench.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great customer service, HORRIBLE odor So Purple customer service gets 5 stars, but this product gets 0. It stank. Literally - there was a pervasive odor that did not go away despite washing as directed and leaving it outside in the breeze for days. It was literally unbearable. I ended up donating the cushion and getting a refund. I sat on it briefly, and it was OK but not great, but the overpowering smell made it unusable.

I used to bought another Purple cushion 2 years ago and that one is good. This time, I bought the cushion with a back support and both of them have strong smells. I've kept them on the outside for weeks but the smell issue couldn't be alleviated.

I am constantly having to reposition it, but it still just doesn't feel comfortable. I ended up just setting it under my desk because it isn't comfortable to sit on.

I tried 2 different locations that even listed online that they carried them, but did not. But, I figured, I have a purple mattress, and Purple pillows (that we love), why not. Give the seat cushion a try. FIRST, the smell. STRONG, like woah. I probably wouldn't have even cared if it felt good, but it didn't. The back end of the cushion presses right into the tail/butt/sciatica that I'm actually trying to not trigger. So, unfortunately this is a nope, sending back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not much cushion I bought this because I use a pretty simple chair and table set up to work at home. I was looking for more comfort without having to go and buy an expensive chair. My hopes were high as the technology seemed novel. Unfortunately after having used it for about 2 weeks, I'd say it hasn't done much. My tailbone still hurts after some setting even if it feels a little bit cushioned at first. I thought part of the problem was the side of the cushion since the grid seemed to be different sizes on either side but it didn't make a difference. Instructions didn't come on which side to faced up in the cover. Overall I'm pretty disappointed, especially for the price. I've had less expensive foam cushions and supports that perform just as bad for a lot less.
