Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Table This is a great sturdy table. It's a very dark wood finish so the only drawback is that you can see all specks of dust/dirt/food. But it's a great size and love the ability to extend with the leaf.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful table, doesn't stand the kid test I bought this table in June; I absolutely loved it. Beautiful dark color and big enough to fit my family of 6 comfortably. I love how thr leaf is built in and its easy to use. BUT this table does not pass thr kids test. I have 4 kids-ages range from 13 to 18 months. The spot at the table where my 18 month old sits there are numerous dents, nicks and scratches from his silverwear banging on the table. A month after I bought the table, I noticed a water glass was left on the table and the "decorative, vintaging" inlays had soaked up water and swelled. I was hopefully after drying out, thr wopd would lay flat again but 6 months later and it ever has. And then last night, our kitten knocked over a cup of water. I found the destruction this morning. The wood has bubbled and buckled at the seams. My heart is broken for the tabled that I loved so much. So moral of the story. You get what you pay for. A $279 is going to perform like a $279 table. Its cheap and will not stand the test of time...or kids. And you will become a coaster natzi and care about your table more than your kids/family/friends. Save yourself the trouble...buy a higher quality table.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the size and color Really like the size of the table and how it can fit up to 8 chairs comfortably when extended. Very comfortable for 6 people. Great size for games and puzzles. Paired it up with another set of chairs from Ashley that I liked better with lower backs. Still looks good together. Minor imperfections in an area that’s not very visible. Love that extension is held within table but mechanism takes 2 people to separate and push together. We only need to extend maybe once a year, so I compromised on size (especially width) of table. Easy to assemble. Table came well packaged in 1 large box. Only needed to screw on the legs and remove some straps for shipment. Hard to find this size of 42” width by 60” length. Felt regular 36” width table a bit too narrow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plan for a table pad to protect the top I really like this table overall, but I did not anticipate the top being so soft. We have a table cloth on it, but you can see writing in the table where our children wrote on paper on the table. I knew this could happen with certain types of wood, but I thought this table would hold up a little better to a variety of uses. I still think it's a beautiful set overall, but just wanted to make other people aware that this could happen.
