Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bad Manufacturing but Good Bench We bought this bench, which was great as the finished piece, but the assembly was a nuisance. The procedure was simple and fairly easy, but the pieces were not the same size and the slits on two pieces that were to be put together were not the same distance apart and did not line up. We had to assembly and disassemble the piece multiple times because the pieces simply would not fit together, until we decided to use a mallet to force things to fit. The final product had some gaps between the pieces, but actually turned out to be fairly high quality for all the hassle it took. The bench was very sturdy and good looking. My only other complaint was that the instructions, which were thorough, descriptive, and easy to understand, could have shown the product being assembled sideways, for even being a group of three people assembling this bench, we could not hold the pieces aligned in the air unless we had some magical levitation ability, and we assembled the product on its side after failed attempts at assembling it as shown in the instructions. Had the instructions said to assembly the product sideways right off the bat, we could have saved some time and irritation. Overall, the bench was very nice, but you'll need some patience to bring it to life.
