Where the table loses appeal is the use of fake plastic wood style top. I was expecting the whole unit to be wood. The lid on this looks like it should be part of a child's tea party table. Terrible fake grain up close really spoils the whole effect so much that I am looking to get a real piece of wood to replace it. Such a shame on an otherwise nice table.

I was so pleasantly surprised, it was delivered on my doorstep in a big box, fully assembled, and packed so securely. It’s perfect, I could not be happier. The wood is really nice, the color is gorgeous, I really love it!

I had tried reaching out to the manufacturer for a replacement top and was told no so buyer beware it will not last long and don’t expect to get any replacement parts from manufacture.

I also use it as a desk when I’m paying bills. It’s a beautiful table which came very well packaged and the best part of all it did not require any assembly! I’m very pleased with it.

The ballbearings fell out, we had to go out and buy a new slide, the holes are off center which is why the first one failed. Still doesn’t glide smoothly due to this. The is very easy to chip and your left with with white speckles, this happened on the matching end table, when the grand kids come I cover it with a blanket. I do like the the left top.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ALMOST a perfect coffee table The Bolanburg is very attractive, sturdy, and has great features like 4-drawer storage and a smooth lift-top. After using it for 2 weeks, I would recommend 2 improvements. There ought to be a lock on the castors/wheels so that it won’t roll away when you prop your feet on it. Second, if you use the lift top as a table (I will often bring food from the kitchen and watch tv at the couch), it lowers with only a few pounds of pressure. It’s fine for a plate and a drink, but if you ignore your manners and put your elbows on the table- down it falls. (Or if your cat decides to investigate what’s for dinner- kerplunk!) I am considering keeping something in the table to brace it open at the desired height- but a built-in locking mechanism would be simple and very useful.

I don’ t have that problem at all, we eat on it and lean on it all the time and it stays up. And it is not backwards, the drawers should be on the other side, you don’t want to open the drawers where your feet are. I love all the storage space and the colors are great. So happy with it. Got one of each of the end tables too!
