Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice, Mind the Price It's nice being able to adjust the angles for your shoulders and feet separately, without the need to just pile on pillows. Especially useful for back-sleepers. For side sleepers, mind what angles are fine for your hips to end up in for the crevice that forms. Other than that, being able to turn the bed into a massive, cushy lounge chair is also nice. Or lift it up high to help you get out of it at the start of the day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea just don't like mattress sliding I love the idea that you can raise your feet and/or your head while reading and watching tv which is 100% better then trying to prop up with pillows. My only negative aspect is that when you have the head raised the mattress slides down. It comes with a bar attached at the foot of the frame to keep the mattress from sliding off. Also note if you sleep with the head elevated that you'll probably slide down in the bed. If we elevate the head while sleeping we just lift it a little to avoid sliding to the foot of the bed. Other then that love the idea and it's seems to be made with sturdy construction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent base without controller flexibility My base is a split king and overall it functions well but my only complaint is that you can't control either side of the base with one controller. Each side has it's own controller. My prior bed was a competitors split king and with that one I could control either side of the bed with either controller. You didn't necessarily have to have the controller for that particular side. That way if your spouse starts to snore to could raise up thier head a little bit without getting out of bed and searching for their controller.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 100 Days of TEST After 94 of 100 testing days, I will not go without an adjustable base again. But, it is clear that a base and a mattress will not fit hand-in-glove and one must accept certain adaptations - including the motor noise (my cat was jumpy at first). The Purple mattress is heavy, but keeps the lifted placement at the head and eventually somewhat at the foot. The mattress covering and sheets, no matter how stretched tight they are, bunch-up at the front inward bend, but sheets will stretch out once again when the base is lowered - if the sheet is well placed. However, I have found few user-friendly methods to place and keep sheets (including jersey sheets) in-place between the finger-busting heavy mattress and the base to minimize sheet shifting. Purple would make forever-friends if they could engineer a solution.

However.... it has a lot of bolts and nuts... not a "user friendly" item to take apart when moving... my other bed frame is different and can be taken apart in a few minutes and this is at least 30 min's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good adjustable base I like that Ascent adjustable base raises/lowers the head and foot area and does not have a vibration option, which I didn't like on a previous base. This is easy to operate and I have had no problems with it. I do wish it was a little bit taller with longer leg supports as it seems to be quite short. But other than that, it is a really good base.

The mattress is the most comfortable we have ever used, and the base is high quality and works great. The mattress never gets too hot like gel toppers can be. The only problem we have now is agreeing on the positioning setting! Well worth it!!!

My back, hips and neck no longer hurt, I wake up refreshed and I don't overheat during the night. My only regret is that we waited so long to have purchased it. My father in law has now purchased one too and he loves it!

I have a lot of lower back pain and my knees pop in and out of place randomly snd sometimes my knee caps feel like they are floating. I sleep with the zero gravity setting and it is heavenly. I get all of the pressure off of my back and it is pure bliss. I recommend this base to anyone who has any sort of back pain or other back ailments, it is truly amazing!

A regular hospital bed has three adjustment head feet and knees.. also the frame could be higher to get out of bed.. over all so far so good

But the ability to have our heads up while having popcorn and watching a movie is awesome also. We bought the hybrid mattress and sheets and pillow. I love it all.

After installing the Ascent Adjustable base to my previously acquired Purple mattress, I have seen my pain ease and in many cases dissipate. I can now adjust my sleeping position to maximize my rehabilitative efforts. I have seen dramatic improvement in my sleep and reduction of pain.

Hey if your a side sleeper this is the best bed ever like sleeping on a cloud. You wake up with energy because you where finally able to get must needed rest at bedtime.
