Rated 5 out of 5 by from A big improvement over our old mattress The purple mattress is a big improvement over my old mattress. I can actually sleep on my side now without my back hurting. In fact, it often makes my back feel relaxed, almost like the pressure is being taken off of it completely.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not recommend this bed to any one This bed is so firm I can't even tell there is a purple grid. I've slept in a purple mattress before, which I LOVED. This is the cheaper model , I expected to at least be comfortable. I definitely like a soft/ firm feel. However, this bed is just all form, no soft. And if k were to keep upgrading to a version I can be comfortable, I'd be breaking the bank. If you Buy this one, more power to you. I hate it and hope I can return it

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot & Saggy - not worth the price tag It was great for the first year, but very toasty. After the first year, the mattress also developed a divot where I slept, and I'm struggling with back pain again. Go with a ghost mattress instead.

I can maybe see it working for someone else, but I would rather try another that was thicker and firmer. I don't know what to do now, and I have so much back pain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So comfortable...for a while. This is literally the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on...for a while. Then the side foam starts separating and inevitably you roll into the gap and start to wake up in pain. We've had one replacement, will likely have to do another. I hope it works because I don't know if we still have the tags on, etc. Would I buy again? Gosh I don't know. It is super comfortable....but you should go in knowing that you will probably also have separation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BEWARE!! BEWARE!! It went from excitement to headache quick. July 4- I purchased The Purple Mattress for my 88 year old dad and they said it will be delivered July 8th. We were excited since he's had back pains for many years. July 7- I received a notification that FedEx delivered the mattress at the front door at 1:35PM but it was not there. I went to Purple.com and their website stated that sometime the delivery company will state that it's delivered but it may take up to 24 hours. July 8th- The mattress is still not here. I called FedEx at 2:20PM for an update. FedEx said they do not have a shipping address on file, and Purple needs to call them with their customer # to update the shipping address. I spoke to Brandon @Purple and explained the situation. Brandon contacted FedEx but they could not provide any additional information or proof of delivery. Brandon emailed me a link to start a claim, and they can expedite my replacement order. July 9- Gracie @ Purple emailed requesting to verify our address, process the claim and said we will have to SIGN for the replacement mattress upon delivery. July 11- It has been in our neighbor's driveway for 2 days. I emailed Gracie @Purple to let her know that we finally received the mattress and that it was mistakenly delivered to the wrong address. I asked them to cancel the replacement order. Gracie emailed and said it will be delivered today and to refuse the order. I received the delivery confirmation later that day that it was delivered to the front door- No signature required. It wasn't delivered. I sent another email to Gracie to let her know it happened again. I even uploaded the delivery confirmation with no shipping address again. July 14- Gracie asked if it was at the neighbor's house again and I explained that it wasn't. She said I need to contact FedEx to file a lost/stolen claim, file a police report and provide proof of both to Purple or they may void the warranty on our mattress. Purple is threatening me! FOR WHAT? I did the honest thing and told them that we received the mattress that was delivered to the wrong address. July 15- The replacement mattress was finally delivered. I emailed Gracie to let her know. Since I've received such inexcusable customer service, I explained they can pick up BOTH mattresses. She sent the claims form and now I have to pay $150.00 to return it. I will not buy another Purple mattress again and I will share my poor customer service experience. All this hassle for being honest. I see why some might keep quiet!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No I purchased a Purple Restore Soft mattress based on the advertised 100-night trial and "No-Risk" language, which strongly suggests free return and refund. The product page and checkout never mentioned a $250 return fee. Only after initiating the return was this fee revealed. When I escalated to a supervisor, they refused to waive it, even though the fee was not disclosed upfront. This hidden cost contradicts the spirit of the "No-Risk Trial" and undermines consumer trust. I hope Purple improves clarity in its return policy to match its advertised commitments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from purple convert i had a tuft & needle mattress that needed to be replaced and purple came highly recommended by multiple people. i have a purple seat cushion and like the feel of the grid so i went ahead and ordered the mattress based on all the glowing reviews. it's kinda wild how comfortable this mattress is! that first flop onto it after getting it set up had me going "oh wow". i'm a hot sleeper who has back issues and i now wake up feeling cooler and without an aching back. very happy with my purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much happier We originally had the "original" purple hybrid mattress, when we decided to do upgrades to our house I decided it was time to get a new mattress that I didn't need a topper to be comfortable. I bought this mattress sight unseen because I knew that the "soft" version of mattresses weren't going to work for my boyfriend, and the "firm" version wouldn't work for me. So I saw that this mattress was a medium and figured it had to be better than what we had. When we first got the mattress we slept with it on the floor because the frame I ordered hadn't been delivered yet, and I have to say I was over joyed by the comfort level I felt. When the frame finally got delivered and I first got into bed I was surprised how much give the mattress had, but then again I'm used to a mattress that had hardly any give. Needless to say I love our bed the only issue I have right now is that the mattress doesn't have much motion isolation, my boyfriend has eczema and tends to scratch at night. I will say I will eventually get used to it, but it was just a weird feeling to feel the mattress shake.

It made sleeping so much better and comfortable. There are no pressure points with the Purple mattress so you get up felling rested, not sore and stiff. I just purchased my 2nd one and will continue to purchase the Purple mattress in an effort to replace all of my family's mattresses.

I am not sure why there are comments about "an adjustment period". I did not need any time to adjust. Thank you for my best sleeping!
