Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's an ok bed The bed is very underwhelming for the price I figured it would be more comfortable then it is. I still toss and turn at night, my sleep has not improved. The bed is firm and it has taken me a while to get adjusted to it and I still get the same sleep compared to my old gel infused memory foam mattress. The upside to this mattress is that it's a queen size bed, my other mattress was a full.

I'm a side sleeper and we have a platform bed made of hardwood, which has zero give. We had a too-firm mattress (one of the foam/coil Purple hybrids from Mattress Firm -- SO FIRM). Swapped it for this one and I am so comfortable at night now, I actually enjoy lying down on the bed. We had the original Purple mattress for about 7 years and upgraded to this. With some cooling sheets, I don't get hot overnight at all and I don't wake up with any neck, back or hip pain anymore, Hallelujah.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the more expensive ones We had a purple hybrid 3, and this is even better, which is hard to believe because it's a lot less money, but it's firmer (not having coils) so for my husband and I, it's way better than the more expensive ones!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is our 3rd purple This is our third purple we Owned one at our former home we have one in our 40 foot class RV and we just bought a new home and bought our third which is the step up from the base model Purple, I wanted something just a tad bit softer and it said that it was good for sides. Sleepers really loved my other two purple so I was hesitant to change something I know worked so well for my bad sleeping habits. But this one came in it was softer than I thought it would be which I thought would be a problem for my wife who tends to like harder sleeping surfaces, but I think it's actually better than the original model. I had to go out of town for a week and it was the worst week in my life after sleeping on the bed. It was well worth the investment and I know when the time comes to purchase another bed. I will be Another purple.

We decided to buy a one piece king. unfortunately after spending nearly 10,000 with all the extras, we ordered the 2,000 mattress instead of the 4,000 mattress thinking well maybe the difference would be nominal. Well we were wrong. I can't believe the inferiority from one to the other, its still a 2,000 mattress, i expected better.

I thought the back pain was possibly from working but after sleeping on a different mattress I realize it's my purple. I wish I would have paid closer attention within the 100 day trial to return but I did not and now I'm paying for a mattress that hurts my back and keeps me hot at night.

It was not the right fit for us unfortunately as it was too firm so we called about the 100-day trial and had it exchanged with the Purple Plus Mattress and oh my gosh! It has been absolutely perfect since we changed.
