(I'm 33) My old Full size spring mattress wasn't giving me enough support so I downgraded the mattress size (price was definitely a factor) and I couldn't be happier with my new Purple mattress! I fall asleep quickly and stay asleep all night with minimal pain and stiffness in the mornings. Very happy with my purchase!

It is now as comfortable as my bed at home, and I was able to stay with my son and his family until family routines evolved and they were comfortable caring for their newborn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sagging uneven bed I've owned this bed for 3 years. When I first got the bed I felt like I was floating on the top of the bed. Lately It has started to sag and is causing me back pain. I have sleep apnea and the uneven sagging does not help with my breathing which causes me to wake up in the middle of the night trying to catch my breath. Not happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice at first My wife and I have the basic purple mattress and after a month or so you'll feel every little movement. Our standard schnauzer was scratching himself with his teeth and it felt like we were in a semi waterbed. Would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND PURPLE 1!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not true to size, measure it! This mattress was not a true queen. It's about 3-4 inches narrower and several inches shorter. I couldn't figure it why I kept bumping into my sleep partner, we've always had a queen. So I measured it, sure enough, it's NOT a queen. They said they'd contact (email) me after I complained, I'm still waiting, but now that's it paid off I'm sure they don't care. I'm going back to sleep number!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Twice over and the answer is no I want so badly to like this mattress. Two mattresses later, I just cannot sign off on it. To be so clear: Purple Customer Service is out of this world; I received a warranty replacement on: my mattress, my foundation, and one set of sheets I bought. Unfortunately, even the replacements to the bed and the foundation have failed. I wake up in pain every day. I often go to the guest room to sleep on an old spring mattress and wake up way more refreshed. Now, with all of this said, I am not certain that the Purple Foundation does not play some part in it here. While this is not a review of that item, I can say it is not worth the scrap price. So: Customer Service: Amazing; Sheets: pretty darn great; Mattress: probably not it; Foundation: absolutely not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly happy with our mattress My husband and I decided to buy a bigger mattress, but knew we couldn't fit a king-sized mattress up our narrow city staircase, so bed-in-a-box it was. We did a ton of research and landed on Purple - we were nervous about the "feels firm yet you sink into it" feeling of a true memory foam mattress, and we have a friend who already has a Purple mattress and loves it. We will never go back. It is literally like sleeping in the most comfortable hotel bed every single night. I have low back problems and need support, and feel great every morning. We are both on the lighter side (120-170 lbs) and are varietal sleepers, though we tend to side sleep the most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bed I've ever owned I was unsure how this bed was going to feel. I've had multiple memory foam mattresses; Ghost, Casper, a house brand. The grid is unique and works for my wife and I. We are 5'5" and 5'7" and between 120-150 lbs...she sleeps on her side/stomach while I lay on my side/back...there is a good reduction of pressure points as compared to the other mattresses we've had. 10/10 would recommend

The cats love the platform as well ( big area for them to hide under lol ) My fiance is about 300 lbs and super tall and we've had issues in the past with other mattresses. We could tell instantly when lying on it, it was going to be amazing! My whole family notices a difference in my energy. I love my purple mattress!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like hot fudge on a sundae Like hot fudge on a sundae. That's how I feel when I slide into bed every night with this mattress. My body just sinks in and settles and the mattress does a great job cooling me down at night. I used to have to turn my ceiling fan on at night because my old mattress was a bit stuffy, even in the winter! But Purple has really changed that for me! I also love the sheets and pillow cases! They're very soft and comfortable on the skin! I wish some of my clothes were made out of this material! My only problem is that sometimes I can't find a place for my head for my neck to feel comfortable, BUT that might be due to using an ordinary pillow and the degree of compression doesn't match the mattress so that my head and spine are aligned. Overall an extremely wonderful experience!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Purple Review When I first unrolled my Purple Mattress and laid down on it, it seemed very firm (I weigh less than 120 lbs) & I wasn't sure I was going to like it. However, I slept the whole night thru and had the best sleep I've had in a while. I've had back & neck pain for several years now. With my previous mattress (which was new), I woke up in the morning hurting more than when I went to bed. I've had my Purple Mattress for a little over a month now. After adapting to the mattress, I've been sleeping much better and have less pain now than I've had in some time. I also don't wake up in the morning with pressure point soreness. So thus far, I'm very pleased with my Purple Mattress.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Breaks down quickly I really wanted to love this bed, and at first I did. The first month with my Hybrid Premier 3 were heaven. My chronic back pain was feeling better, I woke up feeling refreshed and relaxed. My wife's neck and shoulder pain were all but gone. Then things started to go down hill. Slowly but surely both of us started noticing hip pain we didn't have before. My back pain returned with a vengeance, and I started having terrible shoulder pain. My wife's shoulder and neck pain returned. After spending a little more time on the bed we had enough and decided it was time to return it. Unfortunately, I purchased the bed at a retail store, and the 100 night return period started on the date of purchase, not the day it delivered to me (about 17 days after I purchased it). I did contact Purple to see if there was anything else we could do but since I purchased it at the store there was not. Understandable, but still disappointing. So I'm stuck with it and out almost $3k for the Cal King we purchased. My wife and I have moved into our guest room so we can sleep on our old queen size Classic Tempurpedic until we are able to get a new bed. I do want to clarify, my poor review is strictly based on our personal experience with the bed itself, and not on the fact that I missed the cut off to return. That was my fault for not paying attention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful night sleep I had originally purchased the hybrid 2 mattress and I kept waking up with hip and back pain due to the firmness of the mattress. I returned the mattress and decided on the original purple mattress which has made a world of difference! I am a relatively light person of 143 lbs, and this mattress feels much softer while still giving me the support I need. I highly recommend doing your research on which mattress is the best fit for you and your body type and sleep style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ventilation and suspension! I've been sleeping on the regular purple mattress for about a month now. The first 4 days my back pain was worse than with my old mattress. But as the packaging says, your body is adjusting itself to a correct sleeping posture. After the pain went away, sleeping came easily. Unless you're actively pressing your elbows, fingers or heels into the mattress you don't feel the grid. The mattress cover seems to be removable for (I assume) laundering any serious spills. Lying on the mattress you immediately feel ventilated and not hot like when on a thick slab of cushioning. I sweat heavily (from just walking around) and although the mattress didn't entirely take away me feeling hot, I have NOT woken up drenched in sweat in 90 degree weather with no AC! What I love most about this mattress is how it feels. I like to explain that a regular mattress feels like the springs push you up and away from where gravity is naturally taking you. The purple mattress feels as if it is holding you up just as you would carry something in two hands. It sort of suspends you with no pressure. I'm 5'3", 145~ lbs and don't feel that I'm sinking into the mattress. My shoulder doesn't feel resistance when I lie on my side as I would with a spring mattress and my hips/lower back feel like they're actually decompressing when I lie on my back. This mattress is great! It also has about 3 inches of foam around the grid that'll protect you from rolling off the bed. The sheets that came with the mattress are super soft but feel weird to me. They felt like I wasn't being covered even when I folded it in half. Also there are no four corners to the sheet? Just the top and a rounded hem at its "edges". I don't like the sheet because I like feeling covered when I sleep. I'm also concerned at how equally thin the fitted is as I don't want to dirty my $700+ mattress and am unsure if the mattress protector would prevent airflow. Overall, Purple is a great investment. I was only able to afford it because of the stimulus check and for that reason alone I give it 4.5/5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Bed If You're Overweight I have been sleeping on the Purple mattress for about 14 days and it is very comfortable. I am overweight and a side sleeper. Previous expensive foam and inner-spring mattresses caused pain and pressure on my hips, which left me to toss and turn all night. There is no pressure on my hips sleeping on the Purple mattress. I received the Purple sheets free as a promotional offer and they are soft, but my opinion is the sheets are not worth the purchase price as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've now got 2! We bought our first (level 3) Purple mattress for our daughter who has disabilities, one being severe chemical sensitivity. We had tried various foam and other materials mattresses, looking especially for those that mentioned low off-gassing. We have left mattresses in the garage off-gassing for months, some never lost all their chemical smells. The Purple mattress was the only one that was usable within 2 weeks! So besides being the most comfortable mattress we could find, it was the least chemically offensive. We bought another with same results and the comfort of it is amazing, no 'hard spots' on the hip or shoulder like other mattresses. I also bought the frame with the 2nd one and I like that too - lots of storage space under the bed. The second bed came with a free pillow. That was so good that we ordered 2 more of those too. This is the mattress to get!

Just enough softness for all the pressure points of my body. I'm 5'3" 169 lbs. I just got rid of my newer very expensive memory foam mattress and got the purple! Best large purchase I've made lately! Hope it's a good for for the next person who orders. I am now a happy sleeper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great for a Very Short Time Very comfortable at first, no smells. But only lasts 1-2 year before major support issues. They used to be good about at least giving me a new one. Now, they changed their warranty to no longer cover the issue: soft spots form where you need the most support. "Localized firmness changes are normal" - that's wild! That means the mattress is not supposed to support you evenly. "the leveler appears to be resting flat." Check the picture! Very disappointed. Already convinced one person to steer clear--consider other options unless you're extremely rich.

It was fine at first, but got worse and worse to the point where I wouldn't sleep on it anymore, I would go sleep in the guest bed (which was our original purple queen). Back on a purple, this mattress is dreamy, even compared to our original purple. Soft yet supportive. No longer waking up with back pain!
