Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor warranty service. I’ve owned my mattress for less than two years and it has a small hole from the material unraveling. They said it is cosmetic and is not covered under the warranty. How could a mattress less than two years spring a hole. I’ve owned many mattresses and this has never happened. This is not a cosmetic issue, it is a manufacturer issue and they could care less to try and resolve the matter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neck and back pain disappeared My Stearns and Foster PT soft is pure comfort that removes the day's stress from my body, and makes me happy that I found such a high quality mattress. Starting on the first night's sleep I felt my pain easing, and by the end of the week, was back to myself again and very grateful for my Stearns and Foster Pillowtop soft. I walked into a store showroom in a lot of pain (shoulder, neck, and back) caused by another manufacturer's mattress over the past eight months being told it "was part of the adjustment period". I've never even developed this kind of pain from being active at the gym lifting weights, swimming, and biking. Last month I went into a furniture store looking to replace this other mattress, but lacking confidence that I could find it. I'm thankful for the saleswoman who encouraged me to expand my options and consider the Stearns and Foster mattresses. My immediate reaction was, "my friend's mom has one and it's a super-expensive high quality mattress that's out of my price point". I was pleasantly surprised that the Estate mattress was in my price point. The quality was immediately evident. I'm super grateful for Stearns and Foster making such a high quality product that has restored my well-being! While my husband and I were looking at the different mattresses available, it was clear the Stearns and Foster were of a higher quality and craftsmanship. When the mattress and adjustable base arrived and after our first night sleep, we knew we made the right decision. My back felt so much better right away! Even with the price being a bit beyond our budget, we felt confident in what we were buying. It's been a week now with our new mattress and I know we purchased a quality product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love our new Sterns &Foster mattress! This is our 2nd one we purchase, our first lasted us many years. We wanted a firmer mattress and we are not disappointed. Very very comfortable and is working well with the adjustable base. We’ve only had it a week but my only concern is that using the adjustable base with this mattress will bend the coils as so it will no longer lay, flat-time will tell. The store said it would not, I hope not for it was not cheap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm so happy with this! I needed to get out of pain (both sides of my neck, shoulders, upper back) after trying to sleep for 8 months on another manufacturer's mattress. I had been to the chiropractor, too. When I tried the Stearns & Foster at the store, I just knew it was the right one. I had no doubt. Every night for the last week my pain has dissipated more and more because of my Stearns and Foster mattress. I'm just so happy that I can finally sleep all night and not wake up after a few hours with pain. The quality is wonderful and makes me happy when I'm changing sheets and seeing how well-crafted this is. This is the only mattress I will purchase again in the future.

To be honest I never really thought of looking at any other brand after experiencing the difference with the last one. The quality is exceptional and the comfort is worth every penny spent. My back and muscles remind me of that every day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid, extremely heavy. I wish I knew how heavy this mattress was going to be, we have a difficult time tucking in the sheets and blanket. Our old mattress did not sag in the middle, I have to work myself to the side with this one. I also wake up in the middle of the night now since we bought this mattress with pain in my hands, I've tried changing pillows but it doesn't make a difference. Turning the mattress is a real chore. I did not read reviews before buying.

It took only 2-3 nights to adjust to my new - Stearns & Foster. Am now enjoying a wonderful nights sleep. I wake up refreshed. I had hoped to make it a bit lower but the pillow top added to the height- a small price to pay - great quality- good decision on my part!

The mattress is very firm, yet it molds to your body. I was worried that I would get indents like our old mattress but when you rise in the morning it looks as if no one has slept on the mattress! Stearns & Foster is worth every thousand spent and I will recommend it to friends and family who are in the market for a new mattress!

My old twenty years old mattress looked better when I decided to replace it! It looks bad like an old cheap pullover and they call it “ lux” ? Don ‘t be fooled by how pretty it looks in the store. Buy a different brand with real quality material that lasts for years.

We sink in much more than expected and can actually feel the steel coils through the mattress, which makes it very uncomfortable to sleep on. This is the worst mattress we have ever owned, and we would not recommend it.

We purchased our second mattress from S & F and relocated our first to the guest bedroom after 13 years. Do to my up coming Lumbar Spine Surgery I wanted a new firm comfortable mattress to rely on during recovery. Luxe Estate firm works best for me. We figured we spend a third of our life’s in bed so better get the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Stearns&Foster mattress. We bought a firm mattress about three years ago and it was terribly firm. Too firm on our backs. We thought we would just get accustomed to it but it didn’t get any better so we decided to go to another store and see if we could just get another less firm mattress. Yes, we should have gone back to the original store (2 hours away) and see what could be done as far as an exchange or such but being busy retired people, we just didn’t do that. Having gone to a local store here, we were greeted by a very helpful salesman who guided us in purchasing a new mattress top. We received the mattress yesterday and slept on it last night. We noticed a great change in comfort for us. I would definitely select the Stearns and Foster brand and make sure to try them out.

First, I’d like to give you a little background on why I selected this mattress. My husband and I were out mattress shopping because the mattress that was in our home was affected by the Eaton fire In January 2025 and had soot and an odor of smoke. We needed to replace it, which we were ok with that, because even though we had recently purchased that mattress in a 2021 and it wasn’t that old, it had already developed a slope and was not really that comfortable. Actually after it was delivered brand new’ it wasn’t that comfortable. So we were extremely happy to get a new mattress! We went to the local Sit And Sleep and tried, I’d say at least 15 different types, and kind of mattresses in our price range. We spent over two hours in the store trying to find the perfect mattress. I then remembered the story my best friend shared with me a couple months prior to us going shopping, that she had owned her Sterns and foster mattress for over 25 years and she was still so satisfied with her SF mattress! That speaks volumes on the quality, durability and how well made your mattresses are. She loves her mattress. She has the abilities to replace it, but she does not want to because she is very comfortable with it, but here’s the best part of the story. My best friend has gone through several body weight changes since she’s owned the S&F mattress, at one point she weighed over 325 pounds and now she weighs about 140 pounds. Your mattress still supports her and she’s still very happy with it! Now that’s a testimonial! We laid on this particular S& F mattress, and we fell in love with it, even though it was a little more than our budget , we purchased it and that is my testimony. From the minute it was delivered to our home till this point now three months later, we are very happy and pleased with our Purchase! It’s so comfortable and has increased our sleep time. I am 160 lbs at 6’ and I sink halfway below the edge of the mattress, my SO is short and petite. We keep our mattress clean, protected and constantly rotate. This is not a firm mattress. By ANY measure. But I am stuck with it because it is not collapsed, S&F has so cleverly hid behind the “Comfort Preference” of their sham of a warranty. Almost 3k down the drain for nothing. I am so beyond frustrated and annoyed that this is the situation I have been put in that I am seriously considering civil options.
