Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally a night without back pain [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent a Stearns & Foster Estate firm pillow top mattress for free through BzzAgent for review. I've had this mattress for about a month now. Delivery and setup was flawless and took no time at all. I've never had a pillow top mattress before and so happy I got to try this one. Over that last couple of years I've suffered from back pain. Only after 2 nights of sleeping on this mattress my back pain has mostly disappeared. For a firm mattress, it isn't stiff and uncomfortable like a lot of other firm mattresses that I've had in the past. It is a little taller than any mattress I've ever had but not a problem for me. Overall I think if you are a larger person and want a mattress that will give you support but also comfort for your hips and shoulders, you'll want to try this estate firm pillow top mattress.

The best sleep I've had in years! After 3 back surgeries and continuing back problems for many years, I had accepted waking every morning with back pain. And then I slept on a Stearns and Foster luxe mattress while visiting a family member . For the first time, I awoke with NO back pain. I couldn't believe it! In the end, after talking directly with a company representative, I ordered the higher reserve model, and I'm glad I did. This bed has been exceptional since it arrived. I tried other well known mattresses for years, that required special sheets, and had bulky platforms. None of them even come close to this magnificent bed. The platform is compact, and any deep pocket sheet fits perfectly. Iis expensive, but worth every penny. Given how much of our lives are spent sleeping, it is an investment in your health that is well worth making. I awake refreshed and ready for the day. Thank you Stearns and Foster for such an excellent product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stearns and Foster kindly gave me this mattress for free so that I could review it, through the BzzAgent sampling program. This is a pretty fantastic mattress, it offers lots of support, you can tell it's very high quality. The mattress I was sleeping on before was only two years old and never offered this type of support, this mattress literally hugs your body and doesn't put extra pressure on your joints. Me and my Beau, both have been sleeping on this mattress and have been sleeping much better and more soundly, my Beau has said his back and legs hurt less since we started using this mattress, it's also much quicker to get comfortable which has resulted in less tossing and turning. I would absolutely buy this product and recommend it to anyone looking for a new mattress, that is not only comfortable but provides support, it's worth every penny. The mattress itself is very luxurious looking, it has a nice blue and a beautiful pattern on the pillow top, you can see how high quality the stitching is and the soft handles make it very easy to move, it is a bit heavy-duty but I think that adds to the fact it's made to last. I appreciate the opportunity to review this mattress and want to thank Stearns and Foster and BzzAgent for the opportunity.

My daughter loves it, she jumps and so funny with it. My husband and me no longer have a back ache. I used a medium firm mattress before and sometime my back hurts when I wake up, but it haven't bothered me anymore since I use this new mattress. My family have a good sleeping.

It is firm enough that I do not sink into it, but it isn't hard either. It is thick enough that all of the new sheets fit it too. I hadn't had this brand of mattress before this one and I wish I had tried it sooner. Other mattresses I had in the past were always too soft. This mattress being firm is going to help my back pain and I'm already sleeping better. I am sure that it'll hold up for years without giving me any problems. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Much Memory Foam I tried this for 30 days and I do not like all the memory foam in this mattress, it's too hot to sleep, I sweat all night long and I am used to a traditional innerspring mattress, and I do not like that there is no bounce back or is really slow to bounce back, the memory foam is very prominent. This mattress was not soft enough for me (my body would fall asleep if I was sleeping on my side and my shoulder would hurt) but may have been if it weren't for all the memory foam. I do have issues with back/neck pain. This was a good quality mattress and I hope Stearns and Foster changes or adds a model that doesn't have so much memory foam in a soft TT or soft pillowtop that is affordable. I would hope to try this in the future because it seems like a well-made mattress and I never experienced what they were like before Tempur-Pedic acquired them, maybe I would have liked them then but couldn't afford it at the time. Hope this helps someone, and I hope Tempur-Pedic can make a mattress without so much memory foam!

King Estate mattress badly sagging after 3 months..sterns and foster is not the quality mattress it once was..10 yr warranty is a joke..they will not help me at all..told me to contact retailer I bought it from..they told me they could not help and to contact sterns and foster..do not waste your money ...

Before I got this bed, morning was especially painful because my muscles were always stiff and it took some time to work out the tightness. Now this is less of an issue. I am very happy with my purchase.

Extremely comfortable and the size is a bonus. Our first night sleep was what we expected from Stearns and foster. Very happy with our purchase!

We tried 2 different bed models from a different manufacture and for us, they were so uncomfortable from the first night, and only got worse each night. There was no way we could keep either of these beds and returned them. We decided to move to different bed maker. After reading the reviews for S& F, it sounded too good to be true. We went ahead and ordered Sterns and foster, Lux estate soft pillow top, and we have had unbelievable sleep, since the first night. No "breaking in required." Ordered directly from Stearns and foster online. No hassle, delivery, and received it in less than 2.5 weeks. Great quality and even signed by bed maker. To me, that shows they really care. The only problem now is that it is so comfortable, we don't want to get up. Good problem to have!! We are so happy.

I have only had it for one month, but find it to be extremely comfortable. The firmness gives me the support I need for my back, and the pillow top gives me the softness I need to cushion my shoulders and hips while I sleep on my side.

Stay away from this dead beat company. It is a lot of money to pay for a mattress and then a warranty is not honored.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unhappy We purchased a King size S&F Estate pillowtop soft with box springs about 1 yr ago. I read where SF Box Spring were extra beefy and supportive. The box springs are horrible, slapped together, some fabric not stapled. Our first set of box springs were so defective SF replaced. The mattress store sold us twin XL box springs for a king mattress. The Box springs always seem to be shifting and not sturdy enough for the mattress creating a moving noise when you turnover. Im reading now that we should have a one piece box spring, not twins. I hate calling the mattress store again after the first complaint they are not very friendly.

I bought a new home and furnished my bedroom with a new king size bed, so a new mattress from Stearns & Foster was my first choice. My new mattress is similar to my old Stearns & Foster mattress with a soft, tight top style. I am a side sleeper and this mattress is perfect for me. FWIW, my old, queen size Stearns & Foster mattress is still quite comfortable despite being 20 years old, so my guests will enjoy it on occasion in the spare bedroom.

The material is soft but not too soft. Almost like sleeping on clouds. There is handles on the sides for easy lifting and moving around.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality is seriously lacking The overall quality is completely lacking on this mattress; there are pulled threads hanging off all over the pillow top and around the seams where the pillow top is sewed on, and there's at least one (that I've noticed so far) small hole in the fabric - absolutely not up to the level of quality you'd expect for a $3000+ mattress or from Stearns and Foster. And I'm not talking about a thread here or there, there's at least a dozen that I counted before giving up counting...they're literally all over the top of the mattress; the mattress was purchased brand new and delivered about 3 weeks after it's build date on the legal tag - can only assume this is a quality control problem. Functionally the mattress is comfortable and supportive except I notice myself sinking into the pillow top to a level I didn't perceive in the store - not a great sensation for me personally.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. It is too squishy and is far from firm. It is also extremely hot to sleep on. It cannot be flipped, however we do, because the side without the foam is more comfortable and less hot. In short, you'd be better off financially and loads more comfortable buying a futon and sleeping on that. This mattress has changed my life by causing me to wake up every morning with a backache. I haven't had a good night's sleep since we purchased it. I am tired, achy and grumpy. There is absolutely nothing to love about this mattress. Don't be a fool! Save your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere!!!

I'm a stomach sleeper so was looking for a firmer mattress, but my wife is a back/side sleeper. She likes a firmer mattress too, but wanted something that still provided comfort with the support. This mattress fits the bill without breaking the bank. Would recommend.
