We owned an S&F king size luxury firm pillow top for 9 years and when my back and knees gave out recently, we decided to purchase the estate king size firm tight top mattress. After just 2 nights of comfortable, excellent support, we feel this is a reliable, well- built mattress and recommend it to anyone with arthritis and/or back problems due to advancing age.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleeping like a Baby My wife and I were in need of a good mattress due to problems with our backs, we purchased our mattress at Ashley Furniture were we tried many out and settled on the Sterns & Foster Estate Firm Pillow Top. Our first night was getting use to the firmness and after that it was sleeping like a baby, we love our new Sterns and Foster mattress, we spent more than we wanted to but it was well worth it. We love our new mattress and are telling all of our friends. Thank You Sterns & Foster for a great mattress.

I have bad back pain and I have been sleeping a full 6-7 hours without waking up. I found ordering from Sterns and Foster's website to be better priced than at the mattress stores. Customer Service was very helpful and delivery took about 2 weeks.

Sydney in the Kentucky office was the best customer service person I have spoken to in many, many years -- she had all the answers, some to questions I didn't know to ask. She offered all the current promotional prices available, explained all the delivery procedures, and ordered the Estate mattress for me during our call. I could hardly believe how easy it was.

It will give you good back support and does not sag in the middle . My only complaint is that it is made FOR Stearns and Foster but not BY Sterns and Foster. The order taker did not disclose that fact. I thought I was buying a genuine GM part. No so. I have three genuine Sterns and Foster mattresses and they are all signed by the human that made it. Not sure this mattress will perform as the genuine mattress. Time will tell. When you order a mattress for Sterns and Foster ask them if it is actually made in their plant in Atlanta Ga as my other ones were, and not a Sealey plant. I used this mattress to replace a 3 yr old sealy that didnt meet my expectations..

So far we are both very happy with this purchase. Very comfortable and have been sleeping very well. Look forward to many years of comfort.

This mattress is really firm and holds its shape. Even when sitting on the edge of the bed, the mattress holds its shape and does not crumple like so many other mattresses do.

I recently purchased my very first Stearns & Foster Estate Queen Medium mattress, and topped it off with 2 S&F Lux Estate Queen pillows, and can I say I am sleeping so much better than I have in a very long time. On top of poor sleep, I was experiencing lower back pain, but I haven't had any since sleeping on my new S&F mattress. The quality, workmanship and comfort of the mattress is far better than any I have purchased over the years. I would say Stearns & Foster is the Rolls Royce of mattresses!

Bed is soft but has all the support for back or side sleeper. There is no sag in any area of the mattress. It does not sleep hot which is a relief. I sleep hot as many mattresses do. For people with back issues this bed is worth a try.

My husband and I both wake up frequently tossing and turning trying to find a cool spot on the bed. It is almost tolerable in winter, but I am dreading warmer weather. I would have given it 1 star but my husband does like the support for his back. I can't wait to get a new mattress and we've had this one less than two years. It is already getting dips and lumps too. Also it is very heavy which makes it difficult to tuck the sheets under.

We have tried rotating the mattress which helped the first time we did it but now that doesn't even help. It's been 18 months and we already need a new mattress but this one was so expensive we can't purchase another one for a while.

I explained to the salesperson I had chronic back pain and he showed me the Stearns and Foster. Of course, the mattress in the showroom was very comfortable, but when I got the mattress home, and layed on it, I knew something was wrong. I could feel the coils just from sitting in the bed. My back pain increased dramaticly from sleeping on the mattress. But, I realized the mattress I laid on in the showroom, the top of the mattress was dark blue (which was the Lux). After I realized what I received & what I layed on in the store was different, I immediately called the salesperson. I was told since I got the mattress on a deal they wouldn't take it back. I even went as far to as to speak with the manager...I was told he was the manager. I asked him if he could speak to his manager and explain what happened. I called back and was told that there was nothing they could do because I got the mattress on a deal. WOW...now I'm back again looking for a mattress that does not give me pain. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I hope someone from Stearns and Foster can make this right.

The firm and pillowtop combination has been awesome. I normally sleep on my side, but even naps on my back or all night with congestion gave me a great night of rest.

I am a side sleeper who prefers the firmest mattress I can find. The firm Estate mattress delivers excellent supportive comfort. My first S&F lasted 20 years and my new firm Estate mattress is proving its worth for fabulous sound sleep. The quality careful construction of my new firm Estate suggests this fabulous mattress will serve me well for another couple decades. The mattress is very heavy but with the handles I can still manage to move on and off the platform bed by myself. The reinforced side walls are amazing and will hold up to sitting on the bed edge when necessary.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE THIS IS THE SECOND STERNS AND FOSTER MATTRESS I HAVE OWNED THE FIRST ONE WAS NOT TO BAD BUT THIS ONE IS TERRIBLE IT HAS MESSED MY BACK UP PURCHASED IT ABOUT 10 MONTHS AGO IT FELT DIFFERENT WHEN I LAYED ON THE DISPLAY MATTRESS WERE I BOUGHT IT FROM I TRIED IT FOR 60 DAYS WENT BACK TO WERE I BOUGHT IT FROM WAS TOLD YOU GOT 90 DAY TRIAL TRY IT FOR A LITTLE LONGER AND SEE IF IT BREAKS IN FOR YOU WELL IT NEVER DID WENT BACK TO THE STORE TO TRY TO CHANGE IT OUT FOR ANOTHER MATTRESS BUT THE HASSLE OF TRYING TO GET IT RETURNED IS NOT EASY NOW IAM STUCK WITH A BAD BACK AND EXSPENSIVE MATTRESS I DONT LIKE

Diagnosed, treated, and chronic.We have used our LuxEstate Pillow Top Firm for 28 days so far.I'm not going to tell you are backs are cured. They never will be. BUT from day one we noticed a difference that only got better as days went by. No other lifestyle changes period. The MOST AMAZING SLEEP SURFACE we have EVER slept on. And we have gone through at least four different mattress "systems" in the past 30+ years. I laid on it on my back the day it was delivered while the sheet set we got as a bonus was being laundered. When my wife walked into the bedroom and caught me exactly what I said to her was "Honey, this mattress KNOWS me.
