Rated 1 out of 5 by from STRONG ODOR This is the 3rd mattress since June. #1 in 3.5 months had an indent of 1.5 inches. #2. Had such a Strong odor first night tightness in chest & told air out mattress. Went back to sleep on mattress & back broke out with rash. # 3. Again, strong odor, not as bad as #2. Again told to air out for 2 weeks. This mattress had a bend in corner as well. BTW, I am 5 ft & 110 lbs & only one to sleep on bed. Also, always been a fan of S&F. Bought 4 mattresses 7 yrs ago & loved them. Very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality construction, but not all features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed with construction of the mattress and its apparent sturdiness. It is a very heavy mattress, not easily movable when trying to tuck the sheets under it. Unfortunately, the firmness I selected was not good for my back. I initially tried the soft level mattress, but decided to go with the medium because of back issues. However, my back pain increased, so I had to return it for a softer mattress. I purchased the Lux Estate because it included 8 vents, as well as a cool-to-the-touch cover to keep heat from building up. But the mattress held the heat of my body, even after I left the bed, you could still feel the warmth on the spot where I slept. I also bought this mattress for the enhanced pressure relief, but I believe I purchased the wrong feel. My soft feel should arrive in a few weeks . Overall, I believe this is a very well made mattress, that will provide me the comfort I seek for years to come. I do not regret purchasing it, despite the temperature short fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my lux estate so much I love my lux estate so much I'm a fan on the sterns and tempur family but to me sterns was the better choice it had everything I was looking for edge support great coil System and great comfort layers I know that will last me many years! I treated my self To it while I was working at mattress firm I sold So many sterns and fosters my customers would come back to me so happy saying it help with they back and rest I knew I had to get one for me and my husband we sleep so well ! The only con for me is the mattress is pretty heavy but it does have the best quality materials so I deal with it with care and love it can't wait to add adjustable base

I was skeptical for the ultra firmness but it proved that this is what I wanted. I do not use a spring box and I have it on the floor (sleep with my 2yr son). It helped my back pain disappear and it is highly recommended if you are sleeping on your back. Granted, I'm not able to sleep on my stomach any more but I do not care. It is a thick mattress that adds several inches clearance from the ground. Sitting on the edge doesn't create an issue i.e. it doesn't sank in. It may take a couple of days to adjust to it but I will never go back.

No tossing and turning through the night. Just simply falling asleep and waking up in the morning... well rested!!! I cannot recommend this mattress enough! We have already told all of our family members and anyone that is talking about new mattresses!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Firm Pillowtop mattress is the perfect blend for a mattress [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress is the perfect combination of firm and soft. The mattress is firm and supportive for your body, but the pillowtop adds a comfy layer so when you climb into bed you are surrounded with comfort. I will say this mattress is very thick and heavy. It's a bit hard to change the sheets because it's so heavy to lift and tuck the sheet under. We are using it on a platform bed so there is no need for a box spring. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happily Suprised! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First lets start off that this is an absolutely beautiful mattress, expensive but beautiful. But getting straight to it, for the price, the craftmanship should be wayyyy better. There were tons of stray threads all over the mattress which to me is unacceptable for the price. There are "nooks/divots" all over the mattress which can be slightly uncomfortable if your used to your traditional smooth mattress. I especially don't like this feature around the edges of the mattress because when you sit at the edge of the bed it feels like it is sinking in but it is not. When it comes to the comfort of the bed I received the medium pillow top. My mattress before was a firm and I would rotate using a memory foam topper ever 6 months. The first 2 weeks on this mattress was an absolute nightmare! I could not fall asleep, tossed and turned and woke up with constant back pain. For reference I am 5'9 200+ lbs and sleep alone so I had tons of room to roam on the mattress. By week 3 I was sleeping through the night and since then, every night is the best sleep I have ever had! You will have to break in this mattress which is a bit disappointing due to the price. The mattress is firm but still comfy, soft and welcoming without feeling suffocated. I attribute this to the pillow top giving added comfort. There is no noise (squeaks) when getting on/off the mattress and movement does not transfer if you are sharing the mattress with a child or partner. The mattress does sit quite high on the box spring but I like that since I am tall myself. I've had it for 2 months and it is holding up well, no sagging or anything. I expect this mattress to last a lifetime!

It is the perfect amount of cushion from the pillow top to give about 3 inches of plush comfort to the firm mattress. The mattress almost cradles you so that any position is comfortable. The mattress is firm enough to support weight on the edge of the bed without feeling as if you will roll off. Mattress bounces back every morning and does not leave indentations where bodies slept. The mattress does not make any creaking sounds when you move around at night either. Love the mix of comfort and support!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Medium Pillowtop - Queen is, by far, the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. The pillowtop makes me feel like I'm sleeping on a soft, pillowy cloud and I can tell by the design, this mattress is durable and will last for a long time . I really like the elegant look of the mattress as well. I definitely recommend this mattress to anyone looking for outstanding comfort and quality.

For that, I am incredibly grateful! I honestly wasn't expecting much from the mattress. As someone who suffers from an autoimmune disease, I've grown accustomed to aches and pains. For background, I added a 3" memory foam topper to my old bed just to sleep comfortably. My family likes to travel, and I actually take memory foam with me to try to make sleeping on a different mattress tolerable. I expected this new mattress to be a similar experience. I planned to try it for a few nights so that I could provide my (expected to be negative) point of view and then compare/contrast with my husband's opinion while I went back to my 3" memory foam. Now here I am, weeks later... No memory foam in sight! And I haven't even asked my husband's opinion. For the record, he hasn't complained, which basically means he likes it. I have no idea how the mattress does it, but I've been sleeping really, really well - no tossing and turning or waking up periodically throughout the night. I fall asleep quickly and wake up in the same position hours later. I had no idea how not-well-rested I was feeling until now. It's been amazing. Only time will tell if the experience continues, but I am feeling extremely optimistic. This isn't the outcome I expected, but I am so happy that the mattress has completely defied my expectations! One final note that I must throw in, even though it's completely irrelevant: the mattress is gorgeous! The deep blue with pattern... I'm sad that it has to be covered up; it fits the Lux Estate name perfectly.

I have a bad back and it was the perfect with me getting a good night's sleep, the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel that is a little smaller than our last queen but not only do I sleep very good on it, my back does not hurt when I wake up.

This mattress itself looks luxury. It is pretty thick, but has vents on both sides to keep it cool. Have been using the mattress for more than a month. The mattress is comfortable, haven't cause my back pain up to now. My husband thinks the 'cool to the touch' feather is not as good as it looks like. He feels this mattress is a little hotter than our old one, I don't think so though. One thing I don't like about his mattress is that, it is too tall for me, I am 5'2" and I have to climb onto the bed every time. Even my husband who is 6'2" thinks it is too tall.

I have to get a new mattress quickly as my back is hurting. If I sleep at a nice Hotel, I feel great and have no back pain. Sorry S&F, I paid allot or this mattress and expected it to last longer. the tag states Dina Pammill was the Master Craftsman made in Indiana and also has Eileen Leigh name on it along with the number 5691. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like my heading states, the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Firm Pillowtop Queen Mattress is the BEST mattress I've ever owned and slept on. I'm a single mom and my budget for mattresses isn't very much and I'm used to sleeping on mattresses that go flat in a matter of months. That being said, every single night of sleeping on this Stearns & Foster feels like the first and it's been weeks! I'm not a tiny woman, I'm tall and pushing 200lbs. I haven't been making a dent in my new mattress and that makes me so happy! It's not only pretty with the designs, the pillowtop part is super soft and it's honestly the best mattress I've ever slept on!

The sleep I get is worth every penny this mattress retails for. The firmness is comfortable for both myself and my wife and we are very picky about firmness of a mattress. The look of the mattress tells you all you need to know from the very beginning, it looks well made. I will be a customer of this brand for life.

I feel like the mattress adjust to my body perfectly giving me amazing support no matter which way I laid. The plush pillow top makes me feel like I am laying on a marshmallow cloud, it is so soft, but the mid firm layer under helped keep me from feeling like I was sinking down to far.

I work odd hours at my job so getting great sleep is very important to me. This bed has not only surpassed my expectations but also made a life customer out of me. The quality of this bed matches its comfort. It did feel different to me at first given the fact that I used to own a foam mattress prior to this one. But after the first night I was sleeping like a baby. I will not hesitate to recommend this bed to anyone because it truly is worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the opportunity to product test a Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Firm Pillowtop - Queen size mattress. I can honestly say, both my husband and myself are sleeping much better. We have had this mattress for a week now, and I waited until now to write the review because I wanted to give the mattress a fair and honest review. We have purchased several foam mattresses over the last 15 years, so it has been a while since we've slept on a mattress with springs. We have been talking about upgrading our mattress again, due to our mattress sinking and not allowing a full nights rest for either of us. When I was contacted to product test a Stearns and Foster mattress we jumped at the opportunity. I was going into this trial a little nervous about it being a firm pillow top, as usual I like softer mattress. However I have to admit, I am very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and supportive this mattress is. My husband is thrilled that he no longer wakes up several times due to me changing positions. We both have noticed our sleep quality and morning pain has greatly improved. Although I do think I would enjoy the feel of a medium to soft pillow top, and my husband would prefer a little more cooling, we both agree this is the best mattress we had had in quite some time. One thing that really surprised us both is how high this mattress is. It definitely sits a lot higher on our bed than any of our old mattresses. I kind of have to hop into bed, but I'm a people mc nugget, so I'm used to things being to high for me.

I suffer with low back pain, but even after 1 sleep on this matress, I could move better & think clearer because I slept so good! When I read about this mattress having a cooling technology, I really didn't believe it, until I slept on it. I did not get overheated during the night, which was amazing because we leave out thermostat a little warmed than the downstatirs, so it was a win for me! I would highly recommend this matress! ** I did receive a free mattress in exchange for giving a truthful review of it.

This is perfect. It's firm , but not hard. It's super comfortable. My daughter shares my bed. My favorite part about the mattress is that when she moves around, it doesn't wake me. The whole bed doesn't move or shake when she moves around in the middle of the night. The mattress has also been helping my back feel better. I'm not waking up with back pain since I switched to this mattress! I will never buy another brand! I am so impressed with the overall quality of the mattress. The thickness is about double what my other mattress was as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sent it back At first I thought this was the most comfortable mattress ever. Then I had one delivered and snapped out of it. When you first lay on it, it's soft and comfortable. About an hour or so into your sleep, you discover you are in a hot gully. The memory foam holds the heat and if you sleep warm to begin with, as I am, this will drive you nuts. Also, since they use a lot of memory foam in this mattress, the off-gassing goes on for more than 2 weeks - and that's with fans going and windows open on a cool day. If any of this is a problem for you, move along. I swapped this out and got something else. It's a shame, too. Except for the glue spot on the side of the mattress (which at this price point should not have been there), it seemed like it was made well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Getting Used to My New Mattress With the Advance Motion adjustable base I can elevate my feet to reduce swelling. I love the soft feel of the mattress. It seems to fit my body and it is comfortable to sleep on. I don't love the depressions. They feel like there is a hole in the mattress. I don't love the rounded top. When I sit on the edge, it feels like I am going to slide off. I could lower the frame, but then I wouldn't be able to store plastic tubs underneath like my former mattress. i am looking forward to getting used to this mattress.
