I recently requested an exchange for my newly purchased mattress, to an upgraded more expensive model. Now, keep in mind that it took 32 days to receive my first mattress, including the adjustable bases. (that was also a fight to get) We are coming on 14 days and I still have not received my exchange mattress. I have called more times than I care to mention. Ever time I call, the wait time is awful long. When I finally speak to a "customer" service rep, I get an answer of your order will process in 5 to 7 days, call back. Along with the lovely " have I helped you? and is there anything else I can do?" HA!! You haven't done anything. So, I call back once again. 7 days to be fair. The response, I am sorry, it takes 7 to 10 days for your order to process. So, I call on day 10, then told to call back again. That it takes 10 to 14 days. Today, after being told not once but twice to speak to a special department and being on hold. AND hung up on twice. I am still no where. And calling on day 15. DO NOT, DO NOT purchase from on-line. Find a store, compare your prices. Do not get stuck in this horrible nightmare! When I asked if I could cancel my whole order and how long it would take for funds to be retransmitted. 10 to 14 days.......

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More Firm than Medium [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went to a retail store to figure out what type of bed we would like and kept coming back to the Pro-Adapt: Medium Hybrid, after trying several other options. The in store bed was obviously broke in and quite comfortable. The retailer was going to charge quite a bit more for the bed so we ordered our mattress online from Tempurpedic.com. The shipping speed was fairly fast. However the bed was not quite like the in store bed which is normal. There is a break in period for new mattresses and we are 60 days in and it still doesn't quite feel like the in store one. We are going to keep trying it for the recommended time to see if the mattress feel improves. I will say my wife and I are sleeping fine though, we just thought the break in period wouldn't take this long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BEST!!! I have lower back problems and painful joints. I haven't been able to sleep on my back in years. Sleeping on my side was the only way I could sleep, but the hip on the side I was sleeping would begin to hurt, so I would be woken up and have to switch sides. This would go on all night, so I had poor sleep. This has all changed now that we have the Tempur-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid bed!! I can sleep on my back or my sides without pain!! I will never get anything else and highly recommend its purchase!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from "Firm" classification is a misrepresentation Overall this is a comfortable mattress, but it doesn't support my back like other firm mattresses. I invested in it as an answer to my back pain and I am terribly disappointed. This is not a true firm mattress. The support/resistance varies on different points of the surface, and it is effected by the room temperature. It gets softer in warmer temperatures and vise versa. A normal firm mattress alleviated my back pain, the Pro-Adapt firm does not. Tempur-Pedic ought to disclose this fact on their website, or avoid from classifying this mattress as "firm".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Like sleeping on wood After testing out practically every mattress in the store, this one seemed perfect, but the brand new one that was delivered was so much hard and unbending. My body didn't penetrate the memory foam at all. It was like sleeping on a board.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adjustable bed Adjustable top and bottom is nice. Can sleep in a bed and not a recliner. But still hurts sides of legs, whichever side I sleep on. Had hoped it would be comfy and not be hurting. Especially for the cost. Never spent that much on a bed.

Waste of money! You are better off buying an air mattress. They will find anyway they can not to stand behind what they sell! If I could give zero stars I would.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deep depressions!!! terrible mattress We bought this bed 2 1/2 years ago, on recommendation from a family member.... salesman at Slummerland pushed this mattress...now I know why... depressions with mid bed "ridge" VERY uncomfortable on back and joints!!!! The 10 year warranty was denied... "depressions not deep enough".... NOW WORKING TO TELL EVERYONE NOT TO BUY TEMPUR PEDIC!!!!!!!!

When we were going to purchase this mattress and then we chickened out because of the price and purchased a cheaper version. Before we actually used it we recanted, and returned the cheaper version and purchased this. Glad we did with no complaints. Worth the money!

The mattress is firm/supportive for your spine, however, the memory foam ensures that the surface is soft. It's definitely worth the price!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still adjusting to new bed We've had this bed a month. When we tried it in the showroom display the "firm" mattress was very soft. The "medium" mattress was way too soft (sink to the bottom kinda soft). So we went with the firm with the idea it would relax/soften over time considering the showroom display had been there for quite a while. After taking delivery of our new split CA king bed, I found the firm was just that FIRM. Too firm for me but just right for my husband. Until this bed softens up a bit, I need to put a softer memory foam topper on it. Otherwise the quality is good and my husband likes all the bells and whistles of the base. It's perfect for him to adjust so he can be comfortable with his bad back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why buy anything other than Tempurpedic? Our first Tempurpedic mattress was 19 years old, and the "original" memory foam mattress. We started shopping, looking at the "competitors". Then we said, "We know we love our Tempurpedic, so why switch?". After calling Tempurpedic and telling them we wanted the "exact same" support as our first mattress, they pointed us to the Proadapt firm. The first night, I couldn't sleep and thought we had made a bad decision. The second night, to today, sleep is amazing. No waking up sore or achy. My husband and I both have back issues, his are worse. Since we purchased our first Tempurpedic, his back has been so much better. Can't brag on this mattress enough! Beware, it is REALLY FIRM!

I am SO glad that I did. It has been phenomenal. I LOVE the zero gravity too. Have slept like a baby with NO back pain! Would 100% recommend!

I had my kids pound away jumping on this thing and it has never softened. Now TempurPedic will not honor the warranty. Stay away if you want a soft mattress.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Steep price, comfortable but hot The price for these mattresses and adjustable bases are outrageous! With that said, we are about 1 month into using our mattress and it is hard to get out of bed in the morning because you sleep so deeply. I swear this mattress makes you sleep longer and deeper, which is great for me. I used to take forever to fall asleep and then wake up every couple of hours between the night...not anymore. Love the firmness, yet not firm. Love the way it contours to your body but doesn't "suck" you in. One big flaw, the mattress is very hot! Supposedly it has cooling technology, but doesn't seem to work because we were both waking up in a pile of sweat. The good news is that we bought a cooling mattress pad from a local store that didn't break the bank and it solved the problem. We thought about trading it in before we bought the cooling mattress pad for the Tempur-pedic that has the most cooling technology, but that one was even more expensive. Bought the cooling pad and have no sweating issues anymore. To sum it up, price is very steep, but I have never slept better once I purchased a mattress cooling pad for it.

The new ProAdapt Firm mattress has been great on my back, sleeping is sound and my back feels great every morning. I thought the mattress would be much harder living in the North East in winter, but it settles in nice a quick and I'm off to sleep before I know it..

I suffered back and neck problems from 2 car accidents from over 25 years ago but not no more!!! Now I can move my back and neck!! Thank you for a miracle mattress! The mattress is worth every penny!

I've been to the doctor numerous times in the last 2 years for neck and back pain and taken way more prescribed anti inflammatory pills than I should at 41 years old! I didn't have a clue that my old bed was crippling me until we went on vacation and I slept in a different bed! Long story short-We INVESTED in this bed and I immediately noticed a difference after the first night. I woke up with zero pain and felt more well rested than I've seriously felt in 20 years. Not gonna lie...Dropping that kind of cash on a bed seemed kind of crazy at first and I had a little bit of buyers remorse AT FIRST!!! Knowing what I know now that was just silly!! I honestly don't think I knew what a great nights sleep actually was before! Take that money you were gonna spend on that fancy vehicle accessory or whatever else you don't really need and GET THIS BED INSTEAD!!!! SO WORTH IT!!!!
