Not too sinky soft, not to stiffy hard but just the right balance to literally cradle my body to get a restful sleep. Great for post cervical spine surgery. Of course the adjustable smart base does make it all that much better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware of authorized retailers. We bought tempur adapt med with the power base. WORST purchase ever. Waste of $4000. Don't buy from tempur authorized retailers. Paid cash april 2023, Took 3 weeks and threatening to have the debit reversed for delivery, white glove delivery is 2 teens with your mattress out of the box strapped to a short bed pickup with the base folded in the dirty bed. The mattress is so hard even after 6 weeks we had to add a topper to make it bearable. When the base is used the mattress does not bend and floats above the base unless you sit on it and then the foot of the bed just bends straight up from the hip leaves 18 inches of space between the bottom of the mattress and the base. There is NO support from tempur if you buy from a retailer and tempur doesn't care if they have bad retailers. When called Tempur didn't even care when the retailer delivered FAKE tempur pillows and sheets (different brand on the tags and packaging sold as tempur) I wonder about the mattress being fake too as it's not like the one we tried. And beware tempur does not require the 90 night trial be honored by their retailers or the free returns/exchanges. So if you want to try one of these don't use an "authorized" retailer because tempur doesn't back the purchase. The only time i wish i would have bought online.

I've only had it two days and it feels like a mushy squished marshmallow with absolutely no support. I'm a little person, weighing in at maybe 108 pounds, and I sleep on my back. After one night my back felt bad. After two nights my back now hurts. No support at all. Weird. Definitely returning it. Sad.

Then we were introduced to TEMPUR=Adapt. With a cooling mattress and the best pillows we've ever slept on, we have slept like babies. Remarkable mattress, outstanding pillows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New split king with adjustable bases Having own a temperpedic king for 13 years it was time to upgrade and we are very please with the new setup delivery was prompt and they removed the old mattress and bases we love the adjustable bases as with all temperpedics making up the bed is a bit of a chore but doing the split twins is a little easy to maneuver than the old king look forward to enjoy for years to come by the way we are both seniors FYI

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One year review My prior non-Tempurpedic bed was almost 20 years old (the bed was finally sagging and causing pain in my hips and lower back), so I decided to purchase a Tempurpedic Adapt because of all the great reviews. The bed was extremely uncomfortable when I purchased it - like sleeping on the floor. Never realized foam could be so solid. I spent a lot of time in my recliner those first couple of months, which should have been an indication to return the bed. Even though it would have cost me. I thought to wait it out and it would get better. The bed has helped alleviate my hip pain, but I almost never sleep more than 4-5 hours straight any more cause of the pain in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. The only bed I have slept on that I have never been able to 'sleep in'. Additionally, I find it difficult to roll over and will wake up before rolling over. The bed is well made - it's not a cheaply made foam mattress. Just wish it was comfortable. I know that I could have Spent More Money on an upgraded model that may or may not have been softer. Or I could have paid less for a quality pillowtop (inner spring) from a reputable brand. This bed will soon be going to the guest bedroom - nobody will want to stay very long.

We've had Tempur-Pedic before so we went back to this one. I LOVE IT! I can get in and out of bed without a problem, it's SO comfortable and we get a fantastic night's sleep. There is nothing we don't love about it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great mattress.

We read reviews that made us a little hesitant about the "break-in" period, and while this mattress is definitely firmer that our old brand X, it is so comfortable and supportive! We splurged on Tempur-pedic pillows as well and are very happy with our investment!

I felt it was time to replace the mattress, so I ordered this new one and it is incredible to sleep on, I would not own any type of mattress other than a Tempur-Pedic mattress.

Melts to my body and gives me the best sleep I've had in very long time. I don't notice when my dog moves about or jumps on the bed. I'm so thankful for this bed for I have a very physically demanding job with long hours. My quality of sleep has improved drastically. Thank you!
