Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2" Ultra Low Profile is FLIMSY A word to the wise, the 2" Ultra Low Profile foundation is noticeably more flexible than the 5" Low Profile foundation. The slats are spread further apart, and it is easy to compress the 2" foundation with your hand. The 5" is much more sturdy. Before purchasing the 2", I emailed Tempur-Pedic customer service, and they said that the foundations were identical. This is NOT the case! The 2" foundation is likely designed for the weight of a child, and it is too flimsy for adult use. Luckily, I was able to return the 2" and buy a 5". Rating: 4 stars for use in a child's bed, 1 star for use in an adult's bed, 0 stars for Tempur-Pedic customer service...somehow this equals 2 stars overall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Stars if that was an option I have a Tempur-pedic mattress and I love it. But when we purchased a new bed frame which is a platform bed, I found my back was hurting. So upon the reccomendation of your website, I purchased a low-profile mattress platform. Well, the platform is of very poor quality and not supportive in the least. It appears, (without taking off the fabric to be sure) to be made of cardboard on a wood frame! I would have done better to just buy a piece of plywood. And the worst part is the thing is NOISY. It creaks and groans every time my husband moves or sits down on the bed. Definitley a poor product and I am very dissapointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted a Tempur-pedic mattress for at least 10 years, but to be honest I just didn't want to pay the price. My husband and I finally decided it would be a good anniversary present for each other; so we ordered our first Tempur-pedic mattress. The very first night, within the first five minutes of lying on it, we looked at each other and said, "Why did we wait so long to get one of these?!?" He stopped sleeping propped up with two extra pillows, and I no longer wake up with neck and lower back pain. If we'd only known the real value of this mattress, we would have bought it years ago!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a solid base [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a flat foundation I bought back in 2013 that is very heavy and solid so I assumed this product would be the same. I was wrong. I am disappointed it is not solid like my initial purchase. It feels like the inside is hollow and has slats which I fear will eventually break and why I choose to buy another Tempurpedic foundation versus another style. I should of just bought another cheaper foundation because nothing seems to be different but the higher price. The color I got, dark gray, is nice but since it's cloth I fear it may rip in the future, my other foundation has a suede like finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gift from God I am in my mid 70's and recently ordered a full tempur adapt medium hybrid mattress for my bedroom and a 2 inch flat foundation and a tempur adapt medium hybrid mattress for the twin bed in my guest room. Both purchases were perfect. My guest room is used by an older friend with scoliosis who needed the lower height and a great mattress. I needed a great mattress due to back pain. Both of us found we slept so much better on the new mattresses and with fewer interruptions during the night. A great mattress is a worthwhile investment at any age, but a gift from God as you get older.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The boxspring is awesome... but the mattress??? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hello, the boxspring is perfect but it is also new. The Mattress on the other hand is a different story. I know this is about the boxspring and again I say it is perfect. The mattress not so much. I bought a firm mattress 3 years ago and it does not fit the bill anymore. When I sent in all the info about how unsatisfied I was all I got was a "hey we can give you another 40% so you can buy a bed that probably won't work for you". All I wanted was to return the bed due to it not being and doing everything that it promised... Now I sleep and wake up in pain.... unless I sleep on the floor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Queen 9" foundation is solid and supports mattress I see all these negative reviews and wish they would specify which depth of base they had a problem with. I have the 9" base on a simple metal bed frame and have been as or more satisfied with it than my previous Simmons Beauty Rest box spring. This foundation does not make any noise at all and feels very solid and well made. It has a beige colored edge. It was a snug fit to get a fitted sheet over it - one brand worked and another was a tad small. I need to replace it with a lower base now but am concerned about the 2" being as supportive since it felt more...compressible when I touched it at the store.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty foundation - beware! We've spent the last year with a squeaky bed due to Tempurpedics's poorly constructed foundations. The horizontal slats strip away from the flimsy screws and pressboardin no time. We've flipped the foundation, re-screwed, only to find the same problem in weeks. Hard to imagine this design flaw has remained unchanged. Suggests an indifference to customers.
