PRELIMINARY INFORMATION: 

The $2,000 Gift Card Sweepstakes 2026 ("Event") sponsored by Homemakers Plaza, Inc. ("Homemakers") will begin on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM CST and end on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM CST ("Entry Period"). Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible Entries (as defined below) received. This Event and prizes are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. 

Eligibility: 

Open only to permanent, legal residents of the State of Iowa, age eighteen (18) years or older as of September 30, 2026. Employees of Homemakers Furniture, or its subsidiaries, promotion agencies, suppliers, and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of employees are not eligible to enter or win the Event. 

Entry: 

An eligible submission must include the entrant’s information and consent to receive Homemakers marketing communications (email and/or SMS). Subscription to Homemakers’ email and SMS marketing communications is required for entry. No virtual or artificially generated content is allowed. Each eligible submission is an "Entry" and each individual submitting an entry is an "Entrant." Limit one (1) Entry per person. 

Illegible, incomplete, garbled, unintelligible, reproduced, copied, or late entries are ineligible. All Entries become the property of Homemakers and will not be acknowledged. Entries must be received before the end of the Entry Period to be eligible. Homemakers’ determination for all matters related to this Event shall be final. 

How to Enter: 

The Event may be entered through any of the following methods: (a) scanning the official QR code and completing the entry form; (b) following a link on Homemakers’ social media channels and completing the entry form; (c) via a direct mail piece with entry instructions; (d) visiting Homemakers.com and completing the online entry form; or (e) any other entry method designated by Homemakers during the Entry Period. The Entry must fulfill all Event requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Homemakers. 

All entry methods require the entrant to provide their information and subscribe to Homemakers’ marketing communications (email and/or SMS) as a condition of entry. 

Alternate Means of Entry: 

A person satisfying eligibility requirements detailed in these official rules may receive one (1) free mail-in entry without purchase. In order to obtain a free mail-in entry, send a 3 x 5 postcard with your first name, last name, mailing address, phone number, date of birth, and e-mail address in a properly stamped #10 envelope to: “Gift Card Sweepstakes 2026,” c/o Homemakers Furniture, 10215 Douglas Ave, Urbandale, Iowa 50322. Mail-in entries must be received by September 30, 2026. Limit one (1) mail-in alternate method of entry per household address. 

If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Homemakers. 

Agreement to Rules: 

By participating, the Entrant (“You”) agrees to be bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. 

Winner Announcement: 

Homemakers will contact the Winner on or after October 1, 2026. 

Prizes: 

One (1) Winner will be selected and will receive one (1) prize: a $2,000 Homemakers gift card (the “Prize”). The gift card is valid for use at a Homemakers store or on Homemakers.com and cannot be applied to prior purchases. The Prize cannot be transferred by Winner or redeemed for cash. No substitution of the Prize by Winner is permitted. 

All applicable local, state, and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of Winner. Homemakers will furnish an Internal Revenue Service Form 1099 to the Winner for the value of the Prize for the year in which the Prize was received. 

All details of the Prize will be determined by Homemakers in its sole discretion. Homemakers reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or portion thereof) with a similar prize of comparable or greater value. All taxes and other expenses, costs, or fees associated with the acceptance and/or use of the Prize are the sole responsibility of Winner. 

Homemakers shall have the right, but not the obligation, to make any deductions and withholdings that Homemakers deems necessary or desirable under applicable federal, state, and local tax laws, rules, regulations, codes, or ordinances. 

Odds: 

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 

Winner Selection and Notification: 

After the close of the Entry Period, one (1) Winner will be randomly selected by representatives of Homemakers from all eligible Entries received during the Entry Period. Following the selection, Homemakers will attempt to notify the Winner via email, phone, or other contact information provided in the Entry. 

Once contacted, the winning Entrant must confirm acceptance of the Prize within twenty-four (24) hours of notification via email or phone. If the winning Entrant fails to confirm acceptance within 24 hours, the Entrant will be deemed ineligible and will forfeit the Prize. Homemakers will, time permitting, select another eligible entry from the remaining entries and award the Prize to the winner so selected (the “Alternate Selection”). All rules regarding eligibility will remain in effect for the Alternate Selection. 

The Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability, and publicity release (collectively, “Eligibility Documents”), which will be in a form supplied by Homemakers prior to claiming the Prize. A person who refuses to execute the Eligibility Documents will be deemed ineligible to claim the Prize. 

Marketing Communications: 

By entering this Event, You agree to subscribe to and receive marketing communications from Homemakers via email and/or SMS. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP. You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email. Opting out of marketing communications after entry does not affect the validity of your entry. 

Rights Granted by You: 

By entering this Event, You represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property rights of another, You will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Homemakers. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual property rights of any third party, You shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Homemakers and its affiliates from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs, or expense arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement. 

Terms & Conditions: 

Homemakers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Event should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Homemakers’ control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Event. Homemakers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Event or violates these Official Rules. 

Limitation of Liability: 

By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Homemakers and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, and their respective representatives, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) technical failures of any kind; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Event; (iv) electronic or human error in the administration of the Event or the processing of entries. 

The total liability of Homemakers for any reason under the competition and/or these Official Rules shall be limited to one hundred ($100) dollars. 

Disputes:

THIS EVENT IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF IOWA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Event, Entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Event shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Iowa having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than Entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses. Entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

Homemakers reserves the right to disqualify from the Event any person found, or reasonably suspected, to be using automated means to unfairly influence the results of the Event.
