Feeling a little more down than usual? Hormones could have something to do with it.

Twice as many women than men experience depression, with the illness striking 10 to 25 per cent of women. The reason for such a rate imbalance could be hormonal and linked to changes in a woman's life such as pregnancy, pre-menopause and menopause.

Male or female, if you're continually experiencing symptoms of depression that last for more than two weeks, and are causing problem with work and relationships, then it's time to seek help. Depression symptoms include:
-sleep problems
-changes in appetite
-irritability and withdrawal from friends and family.
