Rated 1 out of 5 by from Royal Seat Cushion is a Royal Pain! Thought this Purple Royal Seat Cushion would be ideal for me since I was working from home so much during the pandemic. I was wrong! It started out okay but soon I started noticing a strain in my lower back. I did stretches but it didn't help. It got so bad that I had to go to the chiropractor at least twice a month! I put two and two together -- after the time it was too late to return the cushion for a refund, unfortunately! -- took the Purple Royal Seat Cushion off my chair and my back pain went away. So if you want a newish Royal Seat Cushion for cheap let me know!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only for HARD (WOOD) seats! The royal is only for hard seats... not existing cushions. If you use this on an office chair or in the car then you end up with to much cushion and it becomes very uncomfortable very quickly.

My original Wondergel would get a "10" rating, didn't want to give purple even a "1", but negative stars aren't given as an option. Extremely disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Royal Seat Cushion, Too Heavy Too Hard This cushion is very thick and very hard. It might suit a much larger and heavier person, but it was not for me. I exchanged it for the Foldable 2 part purple seat cushion. It is lighter weight, not as hard with handles easy for travel and that can be tucked away in the black zippered cover.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not For Me - Source of New Back Pain Bought this to compliment a hard, wood chair and alleviate a sore butt at the end of each day. Immediately found it to be more of a wobbly jelly feel than expected but given that it was so expensive, I figured I should give it a chance. A month or so in I started having lower back pain and suspected that the constant sifting around on the jelly-like seat my be contributing. I put the cushion away for a couple weeks and found that my back felt better, then put it back on and the back pain has returned. Reached out to Purple to take advantage of their 100 day return policy and was disappointed to learn that that only applied to their mattresses - their seat cushion's only come with a measly 30-day return policy. Perhaps I will try to give it away as others seem to like it. Waste of money for me and not enough in the budget to try another type. Back to sore butts for the time being.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So not worth the price I have had nothing but issues with sciatica since attempting to sit on this cushion for work. It's simply too squishy and has to be PERFECTLY CENTERED ALL THE TIME so that none of my rear end or thighs compress the sides. I am not a big person by any means. The back cushion is even more squishy and will not stand up. Constantly needs readjusting. I'm happy for people who have found relief, but this expensive set has also cost me three (so far) trips to the chiropractor. I would not recommend this at all.

I ordered The royal and it is a little too thick. It does not go all the way to the front of the seat and creates an uncomfortable edge. I can turn it the other way and it goes to the front edge of the seat however it is not wide enough. I saw a thinner model in the truck stop the other day and I may try it next because it has a taper on the front edge. The royal may develop the taper with more use. I will let you know. Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overall Disappointed Maybe I misunderstood the use case of the purple seat cushion, but it does not do anything to add comfort to my office chair. The grid of the cushion can be clearly felt when sitting on it, and it even feels slightly "unstable" as you can feel the grid folding in different directions. Additionally, the "cushion" feels much firmer than the seat of my chair itself. Maybe a pillow top is supposed to be paired with the purple seat cushion? Or maybe I'm expecting too much. Regardless, I'm not sure I would suggest the purple seat cushion to anyone unless they are required to sit on a hard surface like a bench for hours at a time.

I have kids- crazy things happen all. the. time. Disappointed. Overall product is great. Too pricey if you can't even get a replacement cover. Poor customer care in that regard.
