Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nope nope nope Leg completely snapped off from base. Contacted customer service & was told the warranty was only for "mechanical" issues. Hardly 6 months old. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere for a base!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WASTE OF MONEY w/ PURPLE RESTORE MATRESSES The Purple Restore mattresses (tried a premier firm and exchanged it for a premier soft) do not conform to the smart base and folds you like a taco if you try zero-G mode, or manual foot elevation. The smart bases are an absolute waste of $ with these style mattresses and DO NOT WORK AS INTENTED OR ADVERTISED! You cannot return the smart base, so I highly recommend you do not waste your money on one. Given the fact that this is a design issue and not an issue of my not liking the base (I was actually really excited to utilize the features), I tried to talk to customer support about this a couple of times. At first I was told that the soft mattress would be better and to try it out when I set up the mattress exchange. When the new mattress came and also did not work, I called back as was told to leave the foot elevation engaged so that gravity would help bend the mattress to conform to fort portion of the base, which didn't work either. I then tried to email support and sent pictures and no one bothered to answer my email. While customer support is great about mattress exchanges and returns, they deny that anyone else is reporting this issue with the smart base, which I find hard to believe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken out of the box The unboxing and setup was easy until the weld point that hold the head area of the frame snapped, I've been waiting for several weeks for a replacement. Purple has been silent hopefully this review helps with my replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend Purchased this less than a year ago and I've already had the Ashley furniture store technician come out because it was making a popping sound. We got the adjustable base so that we could enjoy watching TV sitting up, but we hardly use the adjustable settings and one of the welds on the metal part where it comes up is already cracked so if you plan on using it a lot, I would not suggest! The bed itself is very comfortable. We do love it. We definitely would have not gotten the adjustable base had I known That is not very good and it is incredibly expensive! I don't wanna pay hundreds of dollars for bedsheets that stay on. Every single sheet that we have purchased comes off all the time even the lady from the warranty told me she has the same issue! I wish there was a cheaper alternative to the sheets that actually stay on this bed, especially when using the adjustable base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next-Level Comfort, Worth Every Penny! Man, this Purple Smart Base is a game changer! Being able to kick back and watch TV in the upright position is a whole vibe-no more stacking pillows that slide everywhere. But the zero gravity position? Bruh, that's where it's at. It takes all the pressure off and just lets me fully relax after a long day. The adjustments are smooth, the frame is solid, and it just makes sleeping (and chilling) way better. If you're thinking about upgrading your bed, this is it. Highly recommend!

When my wife and I looked into upgrading to a Purple mattress after almost 20 years on our former mattress, we tried it out with this Premium Smart Base at the store. Right away, we knew that we had to get them together to maximize the full Purple bed experience. Being able to turn the bed into a seat, recliner, or lounger is a game changer. I've never had that option and now that we do, it's nice and I can't go back. It gives me another comfortable place in the house to sit and lounge. We've also watched movies projected on our bedroom wall while sitting up on our bed. It was easy to put together and simple to operate. The only complaint I have is that it shifts our heating mattress cover a bit and the whole mattress moves forward some. So when I make it go back flat, there's more space between the top of the mattress and the headboard. I just adjust it back by lifting up the foot of the mattress all the way and then making it go flat again. Other than that, it's been a great upgrade. We put a bed skirt around it to make it look nicer and there's a lot of space to put stuff under the bed. We love our Purple bed set (RestorePlus Hybrid + Premium Smart Base)!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfy but not Durable Absolutely love this for comfort- it's so nice to adjust the base to my liking. I'm so sad to say, though, that the base is not very durable. We have had our base for less than two years and have already had to get it entirely replaced- and our replacement has partially broken. It is worth noting that we aren't hard on our bed, and we've taken good care of it, especially knowing that the base is mechanical. We would not have paid the money if we knew that we would have to get the base replaced frequently- and have to put the replacements together ourselves.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Built to Last The design lends itself to the middle legs bending inwards or outwards leading to long-term durability concerns. When it works, it works well, but I can't recommend it with this issue in mind. You should also be wary of tight fitting sheets restricting the movement of the mattress when using the smart base.
