Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again I did not setup the smart base myself, but paid for setup. However, I did watch the drivers during setup & thought it looked easy to follow. The height can be adjusted which is great. I'm tall (6ft), so I asked them to set it at the maximum height. I was surprised just how high that is. Sitting on the bedside my feet actually dangle. I have considered lowering it, but I'm loving the tall storage space under the bed, so maybe not. Loving the versatility of the settings, since reading in bed helps with my insomnia. Now I can just press a button to get into a great reading position & then the reset button to return to a flat surface when I'm done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nonrefundable, beware! The mattress were purchases, the Purple Restore Premium, is awful. We are returning it, however, the bases are nonrefundable. This was never communicated to us. I definitely do not recommend Purple because of this. If you don't like the mattress, you cannot return the base. What good is the base without a Purple mattress. I was told from Purple that the reason is because it would be too hard to box up and return. It comes on a box truck, so this is just crazy. Therefore, I do not recommend Purple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YUP, didnt think i needed the smart base. I was wrong. Yes, absolutely love the smart base. Super easy to assemble. Its very heavy so take the suggestions to get help on install seriously. I find the vibration a little cheesy right away because its not effectively doing anything but a soft rumble. However, ive really enjoyed it for relaxation. Its only effective on the low setting, medium and high simply vibrate too fast and you cannot feel it. Id like even a slower vibration. The under lights were unexpected as i never saw the need for it but their motion sensor and soft amber have simply created a necessity i didn't know i needed. Its expensive, its heavy, it fit inside my existing bed frame, would highly recommend. Just do it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next-Level Comfort, Worth Every Penny! Man, this Purple Smart Base is a game changer! Being able to kick back and watch TV in the upright position is a whole vibe-no more stacking pillows that slide everywhere. But the zero gravity position? Bruh, that's where it's at. It takes all the pressure off and just lets me fully relax after a long day. The adjustments are smooth, the frame is solid, and it just makes sleeping (and chilling) way better. If you're thinking about upgrading your bed, this is it. Highly recommend!

This made watching tv and reading less comfortable and with the zoned mattress on the restore plus it made the mattress stiff and lumpy. I am disappointed in this product. As it has also made my mattress softer with the less support as it doesn't have slats every 3 inches. Wish Purple had a better return system for products its not my fault this company is in Utah. Also been waiting for a mattress warranty from 19 days ago. I would recommend there traditional platform base and a new restore plus that doesn't have a defect down the center. Sorry purple I am just being honest.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfy but not Durable Absolutely love this for comfort- it's so nice to adjust the base to my liking. I'm so sad to say, though, that the base is not very durable. We have had our base for less than two years and have already had to get it entirely replaced- and our replacement has partially broken. It is worth noting that we aren't hard on our bed, and we've taken good care of it, especially knowing that the base is mechanical. We would not have paid the money if we knew that we would have to get the base replaced frequently- and have to put the replacements together ourselves.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Find another base No one told us there were two separate companies when we bought our mattress from purple. Purple supports their mattress warranty, but has nothing to do with the base warranty. No one told us the mattress would slide forward. Trying to solve this problem, purple told us to call the base people, the base people told us to call the purple people. So frustrating. Terrible customer service on both ends.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nope nope nope Leg completely snapped off from base. Contacted customer service & was told the warranty was only for "mechanical" issues. Hardly 6 months old. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere for a base!
