Jewelry, cash, passports and other valuables often need to be hidden away but still within easy reach. Furniture with hidden compartments to fulfill that need is becoming easier to find. Dressers, tables, desks and everyday decor are great ways to keep treasure close without being discovered by prying eyes. Search no further and read on to discover options for hiding your goods.

Dressers and Nightstands with Hidden Compartments

The bedroom is often the first place where items of value are hidden. Dressers and nightstands can both be found with hidden compartments. Hidden drawers within a drawer are one option, but some are even more clever with panels, or trim kick plates at the bottom, that open to reveal hiding spots . Trim between drawers, often found in tall boy dressers, are another sneaky spot for concealment.

Keep in mind many of these options are small, inconspicuous and aren't very deep, accomadating items no more than a few inches thick.

Beds with Hidden Underneath Storage

Some beds feature hidden compartments. These aren't the spots tucked away behind doors and drawers, but thoughtfully placed pull-out mechanisims behind upholstery, making them nearly impossible to sniff out.

Office Furntiure with Hidden Compartments

Desks, file cabinets and credenzas are great places to conceal items. Modern furntiture makes these pieces less obvious, blending hiding spots among beautiful design. Decorative panels can hide documents and valuables in an aesthetically pleasing, but still secure way.

The Living Room: Right Under Your Nose

Side tables and coffee tables can be conspicuous spots, without even having to buy specialty furniture to stash your stuff. As long as hinges are not in view, a lift top or sneak panel table is a great way to hide goods, or remotes, in plain sight.
