Homemakers Furniture Pick Ups, Shipping and Delivery
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
We have several shipping options available: standard ground shipping, express shipping, in-home delivery and driveway delivery, as well as delivery and professional installation for in-region pool table purchases.
Every item on our site has an estimated availability date, which is contingent on a number of factors. This date reflects when the item is expected to be available to be shipped. Any shipping time frames provided will reflect the earliest shipment dates after an item becomes available. Items in your order may ship from our facility or directly from the manufacturer.
Please note: We are not able to ship to California or outside the contiguous United States. In addition, we cannot ship to PO Boxes or Military APOs.
EXPRESS SHIPPING (STATEWIDE)
FREE* Express Shipping Statewide From Homemakers
Homemakers offers express shipping in the state of Iowa. For any order over $499, Express Shipping is free. For any order less than $499, a flat fee of $29.99 is applied. Items that are in-stock at the time of your order will be shipped anywhere in the state of Iowa promptly after your purchase. If your qualifying order is not stocked, we will schedule a shipment of all your items based on the expected availability date.
Express Shipping includes placement of all furniture in factory packaging inside your garage, in your driveway, or outside the first-floor entry of your home or apartment. Our team will inspect the factory packaging to ensure there is no visible damage prior to loading on the truck. Personnel are not permitted to enter your home, including your patio or porch, and they will not haul away old bedding. Any products that require assembly will be the responsibility of the customer.
On the evening prior to your shipping date, you’ll be contacted and given a 2-hour time frame for your furniture arrival the next day. On the day of your shipment, you can track your order on our website using our delivery tracker. If inclement weather arises, the driver will communicate with you in advance if there is a need to reschedule. An authorized signature is required when the driver arrives at your home. After delivery, please inspect your order as soon as possible to make sure the items arrived as they are supposed to. Please call the store with any indication of damanges. We do not schedule exchanges or reselections on Express Shipping: These must be scheduled using our In-Home Delivery service.
Please note: Express Shipping excludes pool tables, accessories and clearance accessory items. Orders must be paid in full or financed before you may schedule Express Shipping. We do not accept payments at the time of shipment under any circumstance.

STANDARD GROUND SHIPPING
Smaller, lighter parcels may be transported via standard ground shipping. We use a variety of carriers, and your order may come from our facility or directly from the manufacturer.

Delivery charges are calculated based on the dimensional weight, shipping and other delivery-specific factors such as the number of stairs our personnel will need to climb in order to deliver your order.
Your order will be removed from the factory packaging, inspected and installed, if applicable. Items will then be protected and loaded into the delivery truck. *PLEASE NOTE: some items require customer assembly. These products are clearly labeled "assembly required" for your convenience. Our delivery personnel are not authorized to assemble these items for you.
Our delivery personnel will bring your furniture into your home and place pieces in the empty room that you have designated. Please note that our personnel are not allowed to remove their shoes, nor are they permitted to remove any existing furniture. Please ensure that your home is prepared and accessible.
We offer standard mattress delivery as well as our exclusive Mattress Express Delivery program. Mattress Express Delivery is available to in-store customers who live in the Des Moines metro area and purchase in-stock mattresses before 5pm Sunday through Friday. Eligible addresses are determined by zip code.
Our delivery personnel will bring your mattress into your home and haul away your old mattress and box spring at no additional cost for both standard and Mattress Express deliveries. Our delivery personnel reserve the right to refuse mattress removal if the mattress is determined to be unsanitary.
The rates for both standard mattress delivery and our Mattress Express Delivery program are based on the mattress model and your zip code:
- Clearance Center mattress purchases start at $79.99
- Mattress Express or metro deliveries for Sleep Shop mattress purchases totaling less than $499 start at $79.99
- Deliveries for Sleep Shop mattress purchases totaling more than $499 start at $29.99
ROOM OF CHOICE - OUTSIDE THE STATE OF IOWA
Room of choice delivery is available to customers who live outside of the state of Iowa. Delivery is available Monday through Friday. Room of choice delivery rates are calculated based on the shipping address, product weight and other shipping factors..
Orders must be paid in full or financed before you may schedule a delivery. We do not accept CODs under any circumstance.
We will coordinate delivery of your items with a third-party carrier within five business days of your items arriving in our warehouse, and we will do our best to secure the delivery date you requested. The carrier will contact you to confirm your delivery window once your order leaves our facility and your order should arrive at its destination in 10-14 business days. For tracking and scheduling information, please see the carrier's website.
Delivery personnel will deliver your order to the room of your choice within your home or place of business. Factory packaging will be removed. Some items that arrive via room of choice delivery will require some customer setup or assembly. Setup and assembly services are not included, and we do not grant authorization for delivery personnel to provide setup and assembly for room of choice deliveries.
Please note that delivery personnel are not allowed to remove their shoes, nor are they permitted to remove any existing furniture. Please ensure that the premises are prepared and accessible. If for some reason the delivery truck or delivery personnel cannot access your home or place of business, they will be unable to deliver your order to the room of your choice. The item(s) may still be delivered on the property.
Please also note that we are not able to ship to California or to addresses outside the contiguous United States.
Important: We require a signature upon completion of your delivery. This confirms that your order has arrived undamaged and releases the delivery carrier from any liability. You must inspect your order carefully before signing the delivery form. If you discover any damage to the items in your order, it is crucial that you contact our customer service while the delivery driver is still in your home or place of business.
POOL TABLE DELIVERY & PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION
In-region pool table packages will be delivered by Pool Table Service of Iowa and will arrive separately from other items in your order. A representative will contact you to set up a delivery window.
After your pool table package has been delivered, the agent will inspect the table to make sure it is level and in good condition. Once the agent has left your home, your table cannot be returned. However, the factory warranty will be valid at this time.
Your purchase includes a pool table, two ball racks, a set of balls, four cues, a bridge and a standard cue rack. The delivery agent will not install anything other than the pool table.
Delivery is included in the cost of the pool table package within a sixty-mile radius of our showroom. Additional charges apply outside of this zone.
